Saw it on Bendis's twitter and a quick trip to their website confirms it.

I need to have firsthand knowledge. If I want cheap, crappy shrimp-based food, is it acceptable fare?

Or more like Morlock fare?

I'm also tempted to try it out.

I asked the manager at my Taco Bell about them the other day. She is a Mexican. She said that she did not think they would be good but that they are much better than she expected. I had already ordered my fresco burritos and tacos, but based on her word I am going to try them out next time I am there.

That looks pretty good.

I should hope so. You know how many hours of photoshopping went into that?

Not sure I'd try the taco in that second pic for $2.50...

I twittered to Bendis to try these because I know he loves shrimp- (hence his twitter),
and I know it sounds like it would not necasarily be good...

So I only ordered two to try it.
It was great.
I would have eaten 3.
or more.
The sauce is good, shrimp good...
Definitely worth a try if you are remotely interested

That's masterfully arranged for maximum disgustingness.

Nevertheless, I think I'm gonna pop out to my local Taco Bell and try one. Like, right now.

I gotta know.

That's good to hear! I might just have to check this out. Even the review pics from that blog don't make it look that terrible if you just put it back together. The shrimp look good enough.

I'll stick to the places that actually specialize in fish & shrimp tacos.

The tacos I had looked more like the advertisement version. Maybe I just got lucky.

They were out. Or at least not making any more tonight.

So lame. I was all ready to live blog the experience, too ("It's going into my mouth...")

In the meantime I picked up an Enchito with no onions and a Nachos Supreme to scour my stomach. If I'm still alive tomorrow, shrimp.

This could have been amazing.

Looking forward to today/tonight's shrimp experience!

That was like 3 years ago, your Idea and the last time. Dont you remember my hatred for what we just did when we were done?

The garlic corn bread is the bomb though..

Fast food seafood sounds like a terrible idea.

Tell that to Captain D's.

No, seriously, somebody needs to tell Captain D's that an entire chain dedicated to fast food seafood is a terrible idea.

Shrimp at Taco Bell. Because the food we already had doesn't give you enough diarrhea.

There's LJS locations all over Texas for whatever reason. We used to have Captain D's, but those seem to have closed in the last decade or two. Frozen fish dropped in a deep fryer...not really much worse than the fish sticks you can buy at the grocery store.

Tell that to the Brits. Fast food seafood has been a staple there for decades.

I can't wait until the Taco Bell test kitchen chefs come up with some wacky food combinations involving shrimp in the future. Like wrap this shrimp soft taco inside of a hard taco, surrounded by nacho cheese, then inside of a burrito shell and deep fried, covered in lava sauce. Get into it!
