heh. Awesome.

And of course what we are really going to hear is this:

KATHRYN
Oh my goodness. Thank you so much to the Academy, the cast, the crew, my agents (and other people you don't care about). blah blah blah.

Oh, and James. SUCK IT!

James Cameron is overrated. I don't enjoy any of his movies as much as I enjoy, say, Spielberg. Hook > Cameron.

If he would say only 10% of that speech during the real scars, I vow to pay to see Avatar 5 times

:) :)

That would be a funny speech.

Though I'd be happiest if Bigalow wins for Hurt Locker, and Inglorious Basterds wins Best Picture.

On a minor note, it seems Christoph Waltz has won every critics award possible for Hans Landa (At this point, there's just the Saturn Awards and the Oscars to go (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christoph_Waltz).) How often does that happen?

Anna Kendrick beat Monique for Toronto Film Critics Association Award, so Monique's inevitable win won't be as unanimous.

Even Ledger lost the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actor last year (to Michael Shannon of Revolutionary Road.) And Bardem had lost the year before to Tom Wilkinson (in Michael Clayton.)

Hopefully we never have to be subjected this HACK and his speech (I know this is fake and partially funny).

Didn't see Avatar and have no desire to. No matter how amazing it might be visually, "Unobtainium" and sci-fi ponytails are an instant "fail" for me. I think a movie should have at least one concept that appeals to me before I blow my paycheck on it. This seems like a miss for me. Don't get me wrong, I like some Cameron stuff (Terminator 1-2) but overall find his movies overblown and trite (Titanic especially included). But, to each his own, hope he doesn't win and his movie (commercial for his new tech) fade away. Just my 2 cents.

I'm just trying to figure out how he was a supporting actor in Inglorious Bastards.

I like that you didn't vow to actually watch it, just pay for 5 tickets.

Me either. Couldn't be less interested. And not to flame the guy, but I just haven't really enjoyed many of Cameron's films. I don't think they are for me.
