Apparently after an item has started the "shipping process" the order cannot be cancelled, but the item hasn't yet left their warehouse...

So does anyone know of a way to stop the order (can't find a phone number for Amazon anywhere), or do I have to wait for the item to finally ship, arrive and then return it?

I'm not sure exactly when I did it but I used their order control center and fired off emails to support.

Though you might just have to return it.

Forget about it. Consider how much stuff they are shipping at any given time.

Returning items is painless though. Depending on the reason, they may pay the shipping.

It's just ridiculous they can't stop an item from shipping when it's been "waiting" to ship out for 6 days and hasn't even left their warehouse.

Hello,

I've canceled this order completely--you haven't been charged for it. An authorization may be visible on your account, but (depending upon the policies of your bank) this should be removed shortly.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

booyah bitches! It can be done.

You really have to dig, but there is a phone # on the website somewhere. I found it once, it's really buried though.

As Taxman said, returning stuff is painless and they pay for shipping.

But I didn't know you can stop shipment while it's processing. Interesting, I might have to keep that info as reference.

Amazon is really good with their return policies and stuff like that. Especially with Unbox.

I buy from them at least once a week and have been doing so since they have been around and have never had a problem that was not resolved in my favor.

Amazon customer service phone numbers - 1-800-201-7575 or 1-206-266-2335.

I don't think it's possible to cancel an order when it's getting ready for shipping.

Try Amazon customer service phone numbers 1-800-201-7575 or 1-206-266-2335.

Is there any way you can stop people on the Bendis Board from telling you how to stop an Amazon.com order?

Yeah, but it just wasn't that funny.
