Starting now~!

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 03:34 PM
So do you think Bucks take Bogut or Williams?

bartleby
06-28-2005, 03:35 PM
It's gonna be Bogut.

CraigM
06-28-2005, 03:37 PM
And it was Bogut. No shock.

Craig

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 03:37 PM
Yup it's Bogut. So are you a Bobcats fan or Hornets fan Bartleby?

bartleby
06-28-2005, 03:37 PM
Yeah, no surprise there. It's basically from here on out that it becomes unpredictable.

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 03:39 PM
How about the Bucks war room guys, high fiving each other after the pick? I think you might want to wait until After the season starts to celebrate.

bartleby
06-28-2005, 03:39 PM
Yup it's Bogut. So are you a Bobcats fan or Hornets fan Bartleby?

Neither really, at least not at this point. Depending on how the Bobcats draft tonight, I stand a better chance at following them than I ever will the Hornets again.

CraigM
06-28-2005, 03:40 PM
Why're they high-fiving each other? You have the first pick. Of course you're going to get who you want :P

Craig

William Satterwhite
06-28-2005, 03:40 PM
Darn, I was hoping the Bucks would fall for Williams and let the Hawks get Bogut. I wonder if Billy Knight can work some magic and trade down. If he wants to, he can hold Utah hostage.

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 03:41 PM
Why're they high-fiving each other? You have the first pick. Of course you're going to get who you want :P

Craig

I'm waiting for the war room shot where one guy walks out of the room in disgust.

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 03:42 PM
Atlanta - Marvin Williams

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 03:43 PM
Williams to NBA Hell Atlanta.

bartleby
06-28-2005, 03:45 PM
Marvin was the best player on the board, but Atlanta still needs to get a point guard.

William Satterwhite
06-28-2005, 03:45 PM
Yay, another forward with potential, you can never have too many of those

William Satterwhite
06-28-2005, 03:47 PM
I can't believe I'm saying this but I absolutely agree with everything Dick Vitale just said.

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 03:47 PM
Utah - Daron Williams

CraigM
06-28-2005, 03:47 PM
What is with so many players having kids in college?
Craig

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 03:49 PM
Stern's teasing. D. Williams gone. Chris Paul next?

bartleby
06-28-2005, 03:49 PM
I really hope New Orleans takes CP3, because I don't want Charlotte to end up having to draft him.

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 03:53 PM
New Orleans - Chris Paul

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 03:53 PM
CP3 off the board

William Satterwhite
06-28-2005, 03:54 PM

Craig

They're getting a headstart

bartleby
06-28-2005, 03:54 PM
hahaha... Chris Paul and the Hornets deserve each other.

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 03:54 PM
I'm just waiting to see if Frye last till the 8th pick.

bartleby
06-28-2005, 03:54 PM
I really hope the 'Cats don't draft the high schooler....

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 03:56 PM
Which teen? Green or Webster?

bartleby
06-28-2005, 03:56 PM
either of 'em

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 03:58 PM
Charlotte - Raymond Felton

CraigM
06-28-2005, 03:58 PM
You happy with that Bar?

Craig

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 03:59 PM
Felton stays in Carolina

bartleby
06-28-2005, 03:59 PM
Well, I'm a Bobcats fan now.

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 04:03 PM
A slight shocker. I was expecting the Bobcats to take a high school kid.

Ben Rosen
06-28-2005, 04:04 PM
i'm glad the bobcats aren't trying to build a team out of high schoolers. that said, my nets suck. :(

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 04:05 PM
My Knicks are even worst

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 04:06 PM
I have high hopes for my Warriors for the first time in years.

CraigM
06-28-2005, 04:06 PM
Ugh. I'm pissed.

Webster was supposed to go to Orlando.

Craig

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 04:06 PM

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 04:12 PM
Toronto - Charlie Villanueva

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 04:13 PM
Charlie V. to the Raptors!

bartleby
06-28-2005, 04:14 PM
I can understand why Charlotte picked Felton higher than his value, but what the hell is Toronto's justification for drafting Villanueva so high?

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 04:14 PM
Bilas called the pick "shocking"
Steven A. said the pick made "no sense"

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 04:14 PM
Let's see if my Knicks drop the ball. You can start the Frederick Weiss chants!

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 04:18 PM

Channing Frye to the Knicks. I just hope he doesn't breakdown like Camby. Babcock sucks. He drafted Frederick Weiss. Green to GS?

bartleby
06-28-2005, 04:21 PM
What purpose does Stephen A. Smith serve other than to disagree with everything?

Saul Colt
06-28-2005, 04:23 PM
I predict that Toronto with their 16th pick will draft ME.

Sadly it aint too hard to believe

saul

bartleby

icemanx62

Your Pal, Carl

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 04:25 PM

Evidently the Babcock family has a monopoly on stupidity when it comes to running basketball teams.

icemanx62

You satisfied Giannini? Damn L.A!

Your Pal, Carl
06-28-2005, 04:30 PM
You satisfied Giannini? Damn L.A!

Yeah, I'm satisfied. As satisfied as any fan of a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 11 years.

But that's all gonna change.

Hodge went to the Nuggets along with Jarrett Jack.

With those two, the ACC total comes to 7 players taken in the first round.

William Satterwhite
06-28-2005, 05:48 PM
Good for Jarret Jack going to the Nuggets, that should be a geat fit for him.

I could see Atlanta taking a chance on John Gilchrist. Of all the point guards in the draft, he's physically the most gifted.

William Satterwhite
06-28-2005, 06:16 PM
Not really, Williams is from the suburbs on the other side of Atlanta. I'm speaking as a Hawks fan, I'm tired of them drafted high school kids and/or freshman, I'm tired of hearing about "potential". I've certainly heard enough good things about Williams over the last year to think he should be a solid NBA player in a couple of years but I don't want him to get his feet wet with the Hawks. If he's still there at 31, there's going to be too much pressure to take him.

icemanx62
06-28-2005, 06:17 PM

Even if the Hawks don't take him, I'm pretty sure he'll get drafted somewhere in the second round. Plus you've got Daniel Ewing and Jawad Williams that should end up somehwere.

Gotcha. Rebuilding sucks when all that potential amounts to nothing. Hopefully J. Smith and Williams will make things exciting again in Atlanta.

Jawad Williams is going to be the steal of the draft, the other UNC guys were so hyped up I don't think enough people ever noticed how good he is.

bartleby
06-28-2005, 06:29 PM
Wow, New York doesn't like David Lee.

icemanx62

Yeah, I was against drafting Smith last year but that has worked out okay so far. Actually, the way they handled the draft last year was cool, mixing it up with an experienced college player and taking a chance on a high schooler.

bartleby
06-28-2005, 06:35 PM

I love it, I was looking for more of a pure ballhandling point guard but if his shooting touch makes the transition to the NBA, its a big steal. If he does end up starting it should be lots of fun.

I think the Celtics got the steal of the draft with Gerald Green. That kid is NICE! He dominated the McDonalds All American game. Ryan Gomes is a solid pick with their second round pick. An All American Honorable mention with the 50th pick in the draft isn't too bad. Though he's going to have his work cut out for him if he want to crack the roster.

Overall Bobcats had the best draft. Felton, May and Okafor playing together is an interesting mix.
