Something about the other? Where did people hear about this? What info is available, what speculation?
Since the story's called "The Other," the villain is probably not Spider-Man himself...y'know, by definition.

Hydra takes over the world, and pisses it away on slot machines.

The September solicitations, I think. Check comicbookresources' site for those. Otherwise, it could've been in the Heroes' Con Marvel panel coverage on Newsarama.

You must keep this to yourself, as I won't have this being highlighted by Rich Johnston or anyone else. Understood?
It begins in October.

A grown up clone of the Spider-baby shows up and takes on the mantle of the Scarlet Spider, but turns evil and hunts down Betty Brant. Spiderman shows up and saves the day.

What is known that it will be dealt with in all three Spider-Man titles (including the new series, which was to be written by Mark Waid but now will be written by Peter David, with art by Mike Wieringo) from October. This was revealed in a Marvel poster (atop a recent ASM cover) at a convention earlier this year, and later confirmed by David. I seem to recall some mention of it spinning out of the big House of M event; presumably it will involve Peter Parker dealing with the aftermath of it.

Oh, boy, a new Spider-man villain. Looking at the recent track record, there's no way this WON'T be good.

The new villain is actually a new sinister six, composed of children conceived when Norman Osborn fucked Betty Brant, Mary Jane Watson, and Felicia Hardy.
