I have to admit Ofdensen allegedly biting it was a bit of a shocker, but this show has proven they're not above going there, which made his still being alive that much of a surprise. I went in thinking the dickhead son of the label owner was going to be the ongoing big bad of this season (and he still might).
Makes one wonder what Ofdensen said about in fact being dead, as well as what Sciatica, Crozier, and the Tribunal have planned with all the mobilization at episode's end.

Well, they thought he was dead. So maybe they thought they should move their pieces into place while Dethklok was weak and distracted. I'm sure they know he's alive now. And I have to admit, I thought he was really dead too. But when he came back man...I fucking geeked OUT. And then Nathan punched that mother fucker right in the mouth. One of the most badass moments of the entire history of the show. Right behind "Death Metal." *PUNCH* :)

Agreed. That tops my previous favorite moment from the season-2 finale, Nathan taking out #216's brother, echoing Ofdensen's "bread and butter" line from the season-1 finale.

Yeah, agreed. Brilliant stuff. I loved Murderface's decorating.
The one thing I did not like though was the contract scene. It was previously established that the guys know a thing or two about contracts when they were at the crossroads and offered the deal from the devil there. To have them all of a sudden act all stupid was disappointing.
Other than that it was phenomenal and sets things up for a great season.

I actually thought the mystery guy (can't remember his name) that the council leaders are afraid of was the devil and the source of Deathklok's unnatural level of popularity but with the appearance of another devil, a blues devil, I'm not so sure who is Satan around here yet.
Really glad to see Ofdensen back in action. Ever since the season one finale, he's earned a permanent badass spot in my heart.
Did he let the crazy guy "kill him"? I'm still having a hard time believing Ofdensen actually lost that fight in a clean loss.

Loved the whole episode except for one thing. In bluesklok the band proved they could negotiate contract law but ie documents in this episode they were idiots when it came to both money and contract law. I know they can't deal with money but they should have been able to negotiate the contracts part of last nights episode instead of looking at the papers like drooling morons.
but the rest of the episodes were fantastic !!

I think TM is perfect at 15. Metalocalypse always felt like there was more to tell and that it was being cut off by the 15 minute timeframe. I don't really get that feeling with TM's story. It seems to work well in short bursts.

My explanation for that was in the subsequent 3 years since that episode, they've drank enough to kill a country, and took every drug known to man twice.
So I think they ARE getting dumber from brain cells dying left and right.

Oh wow, is it the full season 3 set? And is it on regular DVD (I'm still stuck in 2004 and don't have an HDTV or Blu Ray player yet)?

I hate that the second half of the season was so short.
Still price you pay for full 30 minute episodes I guess.
On a positive note I've finally gotten in contact with the band (through Gene Holgan the drummer, who we're working with on the Devin Townsend stuff(he's also Devin's drummer) and we'll hopefully be able to bring some Dethklok to Rock Band soon!

The second half was just as long as the first half...
True.
I guess there really isn't a difference in the amount of content we get each season.
It's just six episodes seem less than 13.
Yeah I realize the new episodes are 30 minutes but it's six weeks then over. With the old way we got 13 weeks.
I'm not sure which I prefer.

I can't wait for another Dethklok album to come out of this. The previous two have been among my favorite albums of the past few years. The last one had a bit more black metal elements to it, including screechy high vocals, but also still maintained that strong Gothenburg melodic death metal thing too. The songs were less silly, the tempoes were faster, and the whole thing was just so much more brutal.

Yeah! That was the impression I got from Dethalbum II was that it was more straightforward and less goofy than the first one. Still, for a cartoon metal band it's still pretty damn good music.

I seriously want the complete Pickles rehab epic, as like, one ten minute song. That is probably my favorite episode of the series now.

Devin and Gene are talking to Brendon so we'll see how it goes.
Devin is going apeshit over how cool the stuff we're doing for him is, so fingers crossed we'll have some Dethklok soon.

Thunder horse was on Guitar Hero 2 (when Harmonix had control of Guitar Hero).
Laser Cannon Death Sentence was DLC for Guitar Hero 5, and Bloodlines was on Disc for Guitar hero Warriors of Rock

If it was up to me and if Brendon and the label is up for it, we'd get the entire 2 dethalbums and any of the songs from the show that have yet to appear on an album. (I lurvs Dethklok music if you can't tell)

The Church of the Black Klok! Selatcia = not from here throws out my idea that he's Nathan from some crazy alternate apocalyptic time warp. That theory is coming from the season 2 finale where they overlaid Nathan's silliouette over Selatcia.

Holy shit I just watched the latest episode!!! It was a lot of exposition, but I love how this season has been more plot-heavy and more focused on the actual Metalocalypse. That was easily one of the best episodes of the series.

I flipped out when that happened, holy crap!!
And I love how they're fleshing out the prophecy more, (eg: Offdensen as The Dead Man, Selacia as The Half Man). Interesting too because "The Dead Man" was the subtitle of the season 3 DVD, and Selacia/Crozier mentioned that a couple times towards the end as well.
