Fellow Irish Comic guy, Declan Shalvey, is currently drawing 28 Days later, which is well worth a look

Currently re-reading Gotham Central which quite simply is a perfect comic

Scott Pilgrim - Way late to this party, but I had a very different idea of what it was that kept me from taking the plunge. In reality, the book is so fun and crazy and awesome and accessible. I love it (or the first three volumes so far)

Filthy Rich - I wasn't crazy about some of the art, but the story is fantastic for fans of the old crime noir stories. It's well worth a read.

Unknown Soldier - Joshua Dysart is an amazing writer and he really shows you just how amazing with this book. The art is terrific and a perfect compliment to what Josh is doing in this book. Highest possible recommendation.

The Alcoholic - Jonathan Aims and Dean Haspiel. Need I say more?

Nobody - Jeff Lemire is a critically acclaimed comic creator with good reason. This one will not disappoint.

Warren Ellis' Black Summer was pretty damn good. Almost felt like reading Authority: The End or something. More nuance then I'd expected. But still a lot of people just getting spectacularly blown into bloody chunks.

Scalped also continues to be incredibly good.
