What are you talking about? I NEVER experienced any clique type stuff (at least no like in high school) in any of my seven years of college. Maybe it happens in the dorms or something (I always lived off campus).

Well, I go to the same school as most of my high school friends. I don't have a lot of classes with them, but we usually hang out on weekends and during class breaks.

And typically if you're in a program, you'll be in the same classes as others in your program so you get to be friends with 'em.

College is definitely not clique-oriented like high school. They still exist (sororities, fraternities, sports teams, etc.) but it's not nearly as widespread as it was in high school.

U of T is good. Expensive as fuck, but good.
And they aren't the same types of cliques, there are so many people in universities that you never know them all.

There are cliques, but it's not like high school cliques, where there's actual class status assigned to the clique.

no.... :nodidnt:

"College" generally gets you a lesser degree than a University does here in Canada...

It really all depends on how you define cliques. If your talking about groups that tend to center around common interests? (sports, school groups, etc.) Then I'd say university is as cliqueish as HS, but that only because that tends to be true of humans in general. However if your thinking of cliques as monolithic groups that expend a lot of energy in keeping people out, then no. Most of the groups I've been in/associated with are fairly inviting to outsiders, as long as they're interesting.

Yeah, there are cliques, but they're less important than in high school, and they have better things to do than torment those that aren't in the cliques. Plus, if you don't want to be in any cliques and prefer to be an eccentric loner, there's a clique for that.

The cliques may not exist as in the cheerleaders are cooler than band nerds type crap. But the same drama that inherently crops up in groups and organizations still rears its ugly head.

im going to say no not really. But i went to a community college where people acutally want to learn as opposed to a regular college where mommy and daddy pay little miss or mr slacker's way.

No its really good stuff. I'm going in a completly opposite direction though. Want to get my BA in Fine Arts and then go to film school. Ideally I will earn a living as either a Writer (film, comics and Novels) Director, or Actor. Mabye more than one. Its a hard thing to be successful at, but I'm gonna give it a shot. I have some experience already and have been building towards this my whole life.

Good luck with the programming class. Computers are the future, which is why I'm going for something that isnt really a job, but more of glorified childs play. I stink ass at computers.

If you're good, keep at it. I'm sure you'll get in.

PS. What High School did you attend???---
