Have you tried not having sex with them? :)

Spiders. I go running on the little path near my house, and if I go early in the morning it's all criss-crossed with webs. I get them all in my face... it's gross.

Snakes, Clowns, no problem.

And I have no fear of Zombies.

Odd how the irrational fears outweigh the more realistic ones at this point: (Zombie/Clowns - 7; Spider/Snakes - 2)

Of those, probably snakes, but they don't bother me that much either. Put a cockroach in there, and I'd probably take a shoe to my monitor.

Snakes.

Spiders. Creepy-ass little motherfuckers. But Wasps top them all. Good case for extinction.

I suppose a wasp could be lethal if a person was allergic, or if there was a huge swarm - but cockroaches? Sure they're gross and skitter about and all, but still . . .

how can yall hate clowns? I was a clown back in the days, all I wanted to do was to make children laugh... or cry if they're small enough.

yes, my teacher was a famous clown named Micheal 'Bingo' O'Shaunessey (not Bingo from t.v.)

I was an Auguste Clown, meaning I was one of the more colorful ones.

There are also White Face, and Tramp, in case you were wondering.

I only took it up for a little bit, but realized I was not cut out for a circus clown.

"No clowns were funny. That was the whole purpose of a clown. People laugh at clowns, but only out of nervousness. The point of clowns was that, after watching them, anything else that happened seemed enjoyable. It was nice to know there was someone worse off than you. Someone had to be the butt of the world."

I love Pratchett. Everyone should read the Discworld series and find what character they relate to most.

what about killer clows from outter space?!?!?

top (4) things that freak me out (not in order):
1) clowns (i find their extreme alienness and exaggerated behavior profoundly unsettling)
2) outer space (freezing cold, no oxygen, and you explode. EXTREMELY INHOSPITABLE and overwhelmingly empty. no sir, i don't like it.)
3) small children (not babies, just the ones between the pre-verbal and adolescent stages. NOT b/c i don't like them. i think children are awe-inspiring, brilliant, and horribly perceptive. i just don't know how to interact with them without either being inadvertently patronizing or overly adult, and they can smell my fear. they like me anyway - it's like they have an uncanny ability to be amused by my self-consciousness - but it's unnerving.)
4) monkeys (unable to articulate.)

Lab-Rat
06-23-2005, 08:50 AM
Well...see this is my take. Spiders, Snakes, and Zombies...they just do what it's in their nature to do, their behavier patterns can't be changed. A spider will always be a spider. A snake will always be a snake. A zombi, once becoming a zombie, will always be a Zombie. But Clowns...that's just unnatural.

Therefore my vote goes toward clowns...I hate those fuckers.

I like to expand into things out of the ordinary, just to experience them. Clowning was one.

why did I retire? I was looking into the Barnum & Bailey Clown College (which I think is now an art college) back in the days in Florida, but I realized that there are so many more things I'd like to experience and I was but 18 or 19 at the time.
