I'm not sold at all. Not on the costume, and not on Smith.

I hope he wins me over, because I was wary of Tennant at first, too. Until a few minutes into the first episode, which was all it took.

But the new outfit just looks so.. boring.

I've got to wonder if Moffat is purposely trying to shy away and forge his own path with the new series. Smith is excessively geeky looking, especially with the new costume. The new companion looks exceptionally young, and it really break from the chic look of the previous series.

That's true, too. Like I said, Tennant grew on me after only a few minutes, so I don't expect this to be a problem considering all who's involved.

But I also don't expect every episode to be Blink-level awesome (although that'd be amazing)

The outfit seems Doctorish enough but I kind of want to punch him in the face instinctively.

Haven't quite gotten over my awe of David Tennant yet. Don't think I ever will so this poor bastard and me are going to be off to a very bad start.

I'm not sure that's really a spoiler. I mean, it's the same thing that gets spoiled when casting news is released.
