Sweet... New Stray Bullets is enough to sell me.
Brubaker, Phillips, Moon, Bá, and Azzarello are all awesome. I want to read Lemire's stuff, but haven't had a chance to yet.
This looks amazing.

Wait wait wait... September? Ugh. Okay, I know that they need to get as much lead time as they can to get the right print numbers and all that, but when you start soliciting something almost half a year out, I really don't think you're helping anyone. By July I'll probably have forgotten about this until I get it two more months out from there and then it's more "Fuck, here's $30 this week I forgot about!" than "Fuck yeah, I can't believe this is finally here!" At least it looks to be awesome though...

According to the original press release (http://www.darkhorse.com/Press-Releases/1676/The-Biggest-Names-in-Crime-Comics-Make-a-Killing-with-Noir-2-6-09) it's edited by Diana Schutz, and the Fillbäch Brothers are among the contributors, too.

This popped up on my Amazon page of recommendations and I thought it was prose for some reason.

Dark Horse and DC have always advance-solicited their trades.

Just checked out Brubaker/Phillips Criminal story. Good stuff so far!
I noticed this quote for the book... "The latest in Dark Horse's Eisner Award-nominated series of anthologies by top creators!"
What other Dark Horse anthologies is this referring to? The Myspace Presents and/or those horror books?
