I'm on a mission to fill my office wall with art featuring old school Marvel / DC villains from my childhood; getting them done in groups that will be framed / matted together.

The first two sets are Batman villains by Donal Delay and Flash's Rogues Gallery by Chris Burke. The Bat villains are at the frame shop getting matted / framed right now. The Rogues Gallery is 2/3 of the way through the penciling stage and is already looking badass beyond words.

Here's the Bat villains by Donal. I'm getting them all matted together with black matting with a 1/4" strip going down the middle and across the middle between them.

Also as a special surprise, Donal threw in an awesome 1890's Batman pic. I'm getting this matted with blue inside a black frame.

And here are Heat Wave and Captain Cold:

and Weather Wizard and The Trickster:

I'm not sure how I'm going to mat them yet since I'm waiting to see what Chris does with the colors. The anticipation is killing me! I'm so stoked right now. After the medical crap I've gone through the past few months, the work these guys are doing is just blowing me away.

Fucking nice stuff by both guys.

Really would love to see Chris' colored. I'm sure they will look even better then.

No doubt. As much as I dig his line art, his coloring is amazing. Sometimes, I just stare at the fairy commission he did for my wife; just floored by how beautiful the colors are. He's got a ridiculously good sense of color and his work is so vibrant.

The pics of the stuff Donal did doesn't really do them justice as far as the colors are concerned. When I get them back from the frame shop, I'll try to take some better pics, but his colors really pop off the page too. Not to mention, he put so many different mediums together from watercolor, marker, pen & ink, white out, acrylic, etc.

Both of these guys are just amazing and I can wait to see the rest of the stuff. I'm spreading the commissions out so that I don't kill my budget all at once, but I'd like to have both of these guys do at least two more sets of 3 - 4 pics for me between now and the end of the summer if possible.

Sounds like a job for our resident DC arteest, Mr Van Sciver!

I was referring more to cosplay than drawing...

Well, that would be cool too.

I thought you meant getting one of your own at a con. It's late and I need to get some sleep. :surrend:
