I loved fun dip when I was a kid, but I don't know if I could stomach it nowadays.

I love Three Musketeers, Butterfingers, Baby Ruth, and Big Hunks (even if they do loosen your teeth).

You know what's really great? Those new-ish Reese's Crispy Crunchy bars. But I think, since as a general rule I prefer stuff I make to stuff I buy--I think I'd like to try TopSecretRecipes' homemade Snickers recipe. I bet I'd love that.

Starbursts, but I can't eat them anymore because of my poor, weak teeth.

So, Reese's Pieces.

Oh, those were both so good. Especially the Crunchy Cookie Cups. I forgot all about those, but they were pretty terrific.

And I definitely will post pics, *when* (not if! I'm definitely going to!) make them. :)

Oh, and just to tide you over--I made this pancake recipe from the Shopsin cookbook, which is for PB-pumpkin pancakes, which are supposed to mimic the consistency and flavor of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. You also put a little homemade pumpkin pie spice (which Shopsin refers to as "Mara Spice") in there. It was delicious and very very similar in taste and texture to its candy counterpart.

*Butterfinger

I think you can actually still buy Reese's Peanut Butter, jarred. I've never tried it, but I assume they sell it on the basis that it's the same stuff used in the cups.

You see, me and my boss were talking about how he could eat two jars of the peanut butter itself in one day if it were available - he said he could do it and I am convinced he'd never function again. Or if he did, it'd be a weird Megatron getting turned into Galvatron thing. So now I have to find it and buy it based on his ludicrous comment and see what happens!

That, and I could just see myself dipping Reese's peanut butter cups into the peanut butter. I better stop now.

That would be unbelievably great.

I think the only problem with the jarred stuff is that while it probably has the flavor of the peanut butter used in Reese's Peanut Butter cups, I wonder if it has the same crumbly consistency.

Easily available!

Unfortunately, Shopsin's 900+ item menu is reprinted within (over 12 pages), but only 100 or so of these items have accompanying recipes. So, like, the PB-Pumpkin Pancakes and the Gulf Bay I made from recipes, whereas the Croque-madame and Tiger Paws I made from brief menu descriptions. Plus, the menu changes all the time there, so there are easily hundreds more Shopsin's menu items not even mentioned within the book's pages. Regardless, it's well worth a purchase. :)

I don't eat candy too often, but when I do my top 3 are Twizzlers, Starburst, and FunDip.

On a side note, one of my teammates got an earful from our wrestling coach when she was cutting weight for her first fight. She was about a week out and weighed in heavier than she had the day before. He asked if she'd eaten anything that wasn't on her diet and she said, "well, just a bag of Twizzlers".

He freaked out, "A WHOLE F'ing bag?"

She defened, "yeah, but it said it was fat free."

He was just shaking his head in disbelief..."Sure it might be fat free, but you just ate AN ENTIRE POUND OF SUGAR!"

More to the point, it's from the Japan booth at the St. Pete International Folk Festival. They're like white chocolate tootsie rolls, wrapped in a candy wax that dissolves in your mouth when you eat it.
