Today’s installment of the “Adventures of Octomom” has Nadya Suleman being offered $1 million and free medical and dental insurance for her and her brood - if she stars in multiple porn videos.

Vivid Entertainment, the world’s largest peddler of adult flicks, has just fired off a letter to the serial mom asking her to consider becoming a contract “Vivid Girl” (like Jenna Jameson) and starring in a few X-rated flicks, TMZ.com reports.

That's gross. That can't be true.

Vivid only made that offer knowing that she wouldn't accept it.

I would say she should take it, but this stupid twat would probably burn through a million in less than a year, leaving the kids with nothing.

The name of the first video? A treasure-hunting themed porn called "Stretch marks the spot!"

How about "Octopussy"?

maybe they'll make a super hero parody with her innit?

hell, her name already sounds like a villain/character from Striperella.
you wouldn't even need to put that much money into designing a costume: just have a domino mask and a g-string with an octopus on it

Vivid is usually far smarter than this, if this is true.

There's a reason they are #1, and have been for eons.

ETA: Oh, and no, even if this is true, it doesn't make her "like Jenna Jameson." When she is pulling in $20Million/year, while retired, THEN she is like Jenna.

Oddly enough, that is along the lines of what I was thinking.

Only, not so far as to think of a costume design. ;)

They're #1 because they know how to make money. A porno with Suleman would make them money.

And what on the off-chance that she might say yes? You think they wouldn't actually do it? Hell yes they would.

John Bobbitt went on to be a porn star and made a lot of money. There are lots of people out there that love "freak shows".

That's what I'm saying. They're getting all the publicity of an actual Octomom Porno without actually having to writer her a check. Vivid wouldn't have made that offer—the million dollars is nothing compared to how much they'd be paying for insurance on 14 children, especially considering how many of them are likely to have special medical needs—if they thought there was any chance of her actually taking the deal.

Calling Bobbitt a "porn star" is a bit of a stretch.

Christy Canyon is a porn star. Jenna Jameson is a porn star. Janine is a porn star.

Bobbit is just a joke.

He sold a little product for a little while, yes.

Jenna Jameson is making millions, and she's (semi-) retired. Christy Canyon has a Sirius radio show 25 years after she debuted in the biz.

The point is, 10 years from now no one will remember his name or know who he is. Heck, that's practically the situation now.

OTOH, Jenna's book will still be selling at Borders in 10 years, her movies will still be watched, and she'll probably have a prime-time talk show on the Playboy Channel, or something.

The porn industry is pretty finite and transient. Very few people have long, substantial careers. It's all about catching the "flame" while it's hot. Years from now, no one will remember Sarah Palin or why she was important enough to make a porno about either.

Thanks to the magic that is VH1 original programming, this could very well be.

Oh, no doubt.

As far as I'm concerned, Lisa Ann had better outlive Palin in the public imagination! :)

To be serious for a second, that's why I mentioned the people I did: Christy Canyon, Jenna Jameson, Janine Lindemulder -- as quickly as a light can be lit and consequently go out in the industry, those three ladies are examples of staying power.

That is insulting. I would cut a deal with vivid asking for something up front and then "quit" on the grounds for refusing sex from employer.

Vivid can't sue for the refusal to engage in sexual acts, can they?

Insulting. I would love to kick in the nuts the scumbag who thought of this.

If they have a contract, which Vivid will most certainly require, then sure they can. Making porn isn't illegal.

As the other poster pointed out, other than the CONTRACT, no. :)

Vivid is a HUGE business, that pulls in untold amounts of cash each year. They have the biggest contract stars, and are the premier porn production company in the world. (Wow, I just sounded a lot like a press release right there, didn't I? :) )

If this played out as the stories indicate, then there was definitely a contract. And a contract is legally binding as long as none of its clauses are illegal. Porn is not illegal. Therefore, the contract would have the force of law.

I, personally, think it's a terrible idea for Vivid. OTOH, they have made a LOT more money than I have, so what the sprock do I know? :)

Still a breach of contract. Sue for monetary damages. You're only obligated to fulfill a contract only insofar as to avoid repercussion from violating it.

You realize that the porn industry is alive, right?

There are contracts all over the place. Hell, there are "contract girls!" Look at Taylor Rain or Jenna Jameson.
