I can still see what people wrote if they get quoted. Can this be revoked?

Nope.

I suppose a script could be written that could look at the name on the quote ("Name said"...) and block it that way, but it would only work if the quote was named, and i can only imagine how many bugs it would cause at first.

There's always the "close eyes" option, too. :p
