But corn syrup is NATURAL, which means it's automatically good for you!! Wait, maybe mercury is natural, too.

Just don't injest any saline solution and you should be fine.

I love how they say there's only x amount of soda and candy manufacturers that use the kind that might have mercury, but then DON'T TELL US WHICH ONES IT IS.

How can we avoid it dumbasses if we don't know which ones to avoid?

I do not understand this. Do you mean don't ingest saline solution because you would get diarrhea or something?

It's been a while since I've seen the episode, but there was a guy, a poker player, that had been eating M&M's pretty much all his life while playing poker(or whatever the game they were playing was). He was a real douchebag. A waitress hated him, so she put some saline solution in his drink in order to give him diarrhea, but it mixed with the mercury in his body or something and it killed him.

I was doing some reading on this earlier, and the amount of mercury in a Coke, for example, would be about the same as a teaspoon of mercury in 20 Olympic-sized swimming pools. It's a tiny amount.

Not that I drink regular Coke.

yeah. but isn't the whole reason bigger fish are worse about the mercury is because it adds up over time? does it also add up over time in humans?

I think so. Isn't that why they tell pregnant women not to eat it? Concentrations which would be tolerable in grown folks are lethal to fetuses or something like that?
