Lennon must have been touched by Ballad of a Thing Man. He also mentions it in Yer Blues- a song that has recently become one of my favorites.

We discussed this in Beatles last semester. Lennon was in awe of Dylan, that's why he stopped playing harmonica. He was also pretty paranoid, do to various chemicals and the nature of his personality, so he saw 4th Time Around as a dig at Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) since it's basically the same song. Notice that Lennon cribbed some song titles from stuff on Blonde On Blonde, it might have been subconscious for all we now. Don't Let Me Down (from lyrics in Obviously Five Believers) I Want You (She's So Heavy) that's clearly from I Want You.

Well, here's the thing. When you play the real game you play with strangers and you expect lieing and such and for the most part it doesn't matter because you don't really know those people.

Playing this game, however, you deal with people you are friendly with and it's hard to separate things and not take it personally because of that.

I think Glenn realizes he overreacted a bit and that's why he's taking a break. I hope that's all it is and he comes back soon. He will be sorely missed.

Yeah, I agree. I mean, I do think he did overreacted a little because I think at the end of the day it is a silly internet game in which the point seems to be to lie and cheat and have fun. That said, I like Glenn a lot. He's a really nice guy and I truly hope he comes back.

In DC? At E Street Cinema, the place I go to that has a bit of an indie/small studio vibe, it's 10 dollars without the discount. At other places in DC I've been to, like Regal, it's around 11. In Baltimore it's in-between 10 and 13 dollars.

Sarge HAS to see this:

She seemed skeptical, or maybe it was bored, at which time I remembered John Lennon: Imagine, the documentary, which contained a fantastic scene in which Al Capp was invited to John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Bed In For Peace! I'm not sure what the point of having Al there was, except perhaps to have a noisy confrontation for the cameras to capture, which they did, but I do remember it being very funny. Yoko yelled at Capp, at which time he quipped to John, "No wonder you're after peace. You can't have much at home!" It was dynamite. Sharis wanted proof. Or maybe she didn't, but I withdrew The Best of Password dvd and inserted my John Lennon: Imagine disc for her just to be sure.

After scanning through a lot of scenes of John and Yoko walking through foggy woodlands together dressed all in black, I finally found the Al Capp scene. And sure enough, there's a nice clear shot of the door to the hotel room in which the Bed In took place.

And it's room number 1208. December 8th. Oooo....spooky. Aren't you glad I made you read all of that just to get to that one stupid coincidence? This column isn't called YOUR TIME IS NOW MINE for nothin'!

But it's just right for a blowjob.

WHAT?

If you're paying that much for a movie, it should come with a complementary blowjob.

Argh. Have the General Hospital writers even seen a nerd?

I'm sure they've seen them on TV and in movies.

This is true. A PhD might place me out of the jobs that I may want, anyways.

I get yah there.

But it's just right for a blowjob.

WHAT?

No paying for things that should be free!

Um, shouldn't you be at one of these classes since your school is supposedly back in session?
Also, move to the dorms! :)

It's funny to think about never having to have a car. That's an impossibility in Texas.

Oh God. I've been watching Conan O'brien clips from this week on Hulu. I nearly died laughing so much. The Martha Stewart visit was great.

I don't have a car.

It makes me an outcast from society.

I don't have a car. It might be related to me being a poor college student.

Yeah, I know. It's crazy to think about not having a car. Ever.
