He goes off on a little rant at the end but I enjoyed it.

Decent article. Some good suggestions.
The rant interested me though. Even coming from a Jewish household, I fully agree with the whole PC-ification of the season is annoying.
I am ok with Happy Holidays being all encompassing, but there is no reason for shying away from a Christmas special.

I liked it to but I felt it could use its own Article not on one that was about what books you should get for people.
He is get a weekly Article next month and I think he could have made it for one of those.
I own Christmas is a christian holiday and it celebrates Jesus' "birthday" but over the years it's become a Corporate Holiday. It's lost it meaning. I personally don't believe in God, thats my choice, but out of tradition I celebrate Christmas.

Hm. Yeah that is a solid point. Time and a place and all that. It is neat that is neat that he is getting a regular slot though.
And fully agreed about it being a corporate holiday. Most everyone I know use it to be close to friends and family, exchange gifts and watch the seasonal movies, and none of them are church goers at all.

Newsarama is even taking him to NNYC with them.
Yeah same here, I'm could careless what day it is, but I get to come home and see my friends and family. I haven't been home in 6 months so I couldn't careless about the holiday at this point.

Figured I would bump it now that more people are online
"Happy Holidays" means Christmas (or whatever you celebrate instead of Christmas) AND New Years! It IS NOT a PC greeting! This pisses me off so much. There are TWO holidays at the end of December!
