Are all (most) Blu-Ray DVD players upscale standard DVDs to 1080p? (or 1080i)

I just bought this great Panasonic 1080P plasma and I must get a blue-ray dvd player now. I was thinking of going cheap though and getting a <$200 one at Target or Best Buy.

your thoughts?

Don't go cheap. Spend the extra $100-$200 and get a good one with all of the capabilities Blu Ray has to offer.
