It looks just like the Bowen pic except the sword sheath curves to run alongside the cape. It's actually very close to the cape. That's the best I can do. I couldn't take a better pic of the statue's colors than what Bowen has on his site.

So what's wih the red cape version? Is this the color he's wearing now? Did anyone want him with his yellow cape and gloves like he first appeared in the Avengers? Was this ever discussed when sneaks were shown?

I'm happy for ya. My red-cape BK is arriving next week while I'm visiting parents in CA - had to have it shipped to my brother's house - hopefully, if he opens the package and checks it out, he won't decide to become a new-found-Bowen fan and decide to keep it! :lol:

The close-up shows the sheath in the position I spoke about earlier. An original pic of the statue showed the sheath hanging between his legs and at less of an angle.

The red cape (and "blue" mail), as I recall, is how he appeared in Epting's run on the Avengers (early 90's) . . . without the leather jacket of course (Thank God!).

As to the yellow cape . . . hell yes I would've been down for one (I can still picture the "Reurn of the Black Knight" Avengers cover - somwehere around #51-53), but I don't recall it receiving much of a buzz, buzz. ;-)

A great looking statue ... I think the musculature was done really well, as it is sculpted to look visible through the chain mail/costume but not overtly, unrealistically so. Awesome stuff.

Thanks for the reply. I'm really surprised that the yellow version didn't get made in place of the red although I much prefer the blue as that is how he was garbed during Stern's run.

My guess . . . there were "only 10 remaining" until the red cape variant was posted for sale. Chances are some cancelled the blue-cape so as to order the red-cape.

Assuming this to be the case, that's why I wish (more-so for BD's sake, as they are extremely courteous in accepting cancellations) that they would consistently announce/commit to whether variants would be forthcoming so as to avoid later cancelations of items previously posted for sale.
