I'll hang here as me and retain my Woomba for the BMB board. Brian has asked me repeatedly to return and said that he'll be very happy if I do so. (as Alex). So here I am and to kick start the board again, we'll do it with a bang.
Here's something I cooked up for reference. All painted in Painter with a tablet.

it's cool to have you back Alex
if I'd known/realised you were Woomba I would have stuck around, media whore that I am.
use painter a lot?
what version you running?
tried those wet acrylics yet? - had to ask, spent 3 hours recently painting clouds with them, just for fun :(
anyways great piece, even though it took nearly 10mins to load.

Painter 9
Used acrylics for the basic tones. This program is so amazing, I got a book and I'm learning it.

Hey Alex,
using Painter 8 myself, it's too addictive! too many hours and too many burnt meals.
the guys at conceptart.org have a decent Painter forum, lots of valuable advice... and work for the right artist ;)
http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=23 (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=23)
also, if you haven't already, check out the Hulk dvd, one of the featured artists, a japanese guy, does his comicbook art solely in Painter and he's done a book about using it, not sure if it's been translated, but there's ways around that.
so you thinking of moving over to Painter completely?
AF.

No moving to Painter, just integrating it with my current style, more like a merger. I'm experimenting with it and I gave it to a friend of mine (also an artist, classically trained and computer savvy) to give it a go and compare notes.

hey Alex,
looking forward to what you come up with, you'll have to let the forum know... or maybe keep us all guessing.
AF.
btw - could someone let me know what Alex is doing after the DD run is over? I'm so out of any loop I didn't know there was a loop.
(metabarons hopefully! )

I'm not even sure yet, there's some stuff cooking and I can smell it from the living room. Don't know what it is.
Good that you're back as yourself. I don't follow these forums that often, but with your space presumably activating, I think I'll take a look here more often...
Hey, mr. MAleev, what are you gonna draw after your Daredevil run?

Hm...
Hey Maleev, do you follow that technique where you paint everything in gray, starting with the body, and then add the color like it where one of those icons paintings from Orthodox Christianity? I was just reading about this 'old school' form of painting the other day.
Or do you just start with whatever and go from there?

Hmmm, I just wanted to see if Woomba had left any hints on this site about his next project with Bendis, but I didn't realise Alex(sadly)Maleev was officially back. Cool! and I can't wait to see what you guys do next. (*fingers crossed* for a Night Nurse MAX title!)
Oh, and Taki knew Woomba was Alex because she got a little assist from someone <cough, cough> who figured it out after his first post. ;) :)
