According to Amazon, it drops in March.

Yeah...I heard March as well...which is too far off in my opinion.

Ok, thanks! I didn't find the info when I was looking. So it's one book a year? That is just too slow! I fell in love with the series with the first Omnibus, and would really like to read it in the beautiful collected edition, but I don't know, I know where to get a bog bunch of the issues at a reasonable price - maybe I need to get those.
Are the issues nice, with a good paper stock, or the regular wiping paper with kiddie ads?

Not exactly. The first one dropped in June of 08. 9 months.
So expect to see Vol. 3 in December of '09, based SOLELY off of this assumption.
As far as the book itself goes, it's easily the nicest non-Absolute book DC has on the shelves right now. Waaay nicer than these new "Deluxe Editions" they are releasing. I would argue that it's also nicer than Absolute LXG Vol. 3, but then, almost anything is (not for content but for utter lack thereof)

Ok. I believe the first one was supposed to come out March.
The web shops I'm using have lately gotten their books annoyingly late - they take often two or three weeks from the release date to get it on their list. For example the new Gotham Central or Y-The Last man HC's i haven't been able to get yet. So if the second Omnibus comes out March, there's no knowing when I get it in my hands- unless I find a better yet affordable web book shop here in Europe (the ones I'm using now are Book Depository and Play - know any better?)

Maybe they are stepping up the schedule? Let's hope so.

Unfortunately, I'm in the ol' US of A, and I'm sure you're not going to want to pay international shipping for comics.

I can't wait. I got the first volume because someone posted a deal about it here from Better World Books. I think I got it for $18.

I have mine pre-ordered on Amazon. My volume one came from Better World and was damaged a bit on the back cover. LUCKILY, because of this, Tony Harris sketched a sweet Shade portrait at Heroes Con so, you know, it all worked out.
Anyway, yeah, great book.

But it hasn't been in previews yet has it, I'd imagine it'll be March.

It was advance-solicited in the October Previews.

The cover price is pretty high.
I got the first volume on Amazon for $26 I think.
