I know St. Marks and Midtown Comics do. I'm not too sure about Forbidden Planet though. I haven't seen any women working there but it's probably the store, of the three, that I've gone to the least.

First store I frequented: 0.
Second store: 2. This was also, by far, from both its male and female employees, the most customer-friendly store I'd shopped at. Also the cleanest and most well-lit.
Current store: 0.

It's not just comics, it's various geeky stuff. Forbidden Planet, I assume the US ones are similar.
Although, one thing I thought shows how comics are becoming more popular. When I got into comics the comics were upstairs, with a small wall of singles and a small double sided stand of trades. Now they're downstairs, a big wall of singles and a long stand of trades.
I go to two. One is family-owned, with half of it being owned by the guy's mother.
The other one has a girl, too. She's really nice and kind of geeky-chic. She usually organizes the Heroes Clix and Magic tourneys there.

Come to think of it, when I was around 9, my first LCS had one woman working at it. It was part of a chain, Comic Attitudes. She seemed mainly to be an enforcer to kick kids out of the store if they started reading or looking at Mature Readers stuff. I hated her.

Heh that was really the thing. Before leaving for a few weeks, they'd already started the transition wearing blouses and stuff. But that was around Halloween and that shop has always had "dress-up" days on comic day. So I never really thought much about it until they left and then came back and the voice was different.
All things considered, this being Texas and all, the customers seem to have been quite tolerant and accepting. Got to give them credit for having such guts to go through with that.

I'm sorry, Ma'am, but the local ordinance clearly states that if you have more than 3 females working a comic store, than said comic establishment is legally considered a brothel in the eyes of the law.

How does a hot girl lose a job at a comic store?
Isn't there a six-strikes-and-you're out rule at play here? Me--I used to manage a video store, and there was this one hot girl (who danced on the side) that kept fucking up, showing up late, but I always gave her a second chance, and third chance, and fourth chance. I even caught her stealing from the cash register and I still gave her a break.

well, a barber owner next to the shop thought my boss was running some kinda sex store.
it was awesome working there, my boss looked like Captain America and no customers hardly ever hit on any of the girls there because he is an intimidating looking dude and he looked out for us.

(1) I imagine guys being more intimidated in bringing up comics with overly sexualized females on the covers.
(2) I imagine guys spending more time just loitering.
(3) I imagine suspicious puddles of viscious liquid of unknown origin being found on the spines of the trades in the back of the store.

At the (not strictly comics) store I used to go to, Battlezone, there used to be a few women, most didn't stick around that long (nor did the male employees, come to think of it), but I was fairly good friends with one, Jessica. We did a roleplay game together and we even went to a concert once (just as friends). I haven't talked to since the owner transferred her to another store.
Where I shop now, Pop Culture Comix, seems to be pretty much run only by the owner. So no ladies there. But it's a better store in general, so I don't mind too much.

Liked going to a comic shop with women working there.
Made the experience less 'male-oriented', like comics were something for everyone.
I think their being at the store also convinced the owner to order more product that wasn't strictly of a superhero vein.

That's a smart way of viewing it, actually. That video store I managed, the previous manager and I hired mostly attractive girls. One girl, I hired her in my mind as soon as I saw the application in her hand.
Yeah, yeah, I know, but seriously, guys would come up to me and say they would drive past their Blockbuster or nearest video store solely to rent from our indie store.

There was a, hot girl in the comic shop
She was lookin' at Doctor Who.
There was an actual girl in the comic shop
What a momentous day
I had to check to make sure that she wasn't just
a human sized cardboard display.
My competition was a kid with pimples and a guy in a wheelchair,
so i knew i had to act fast
So many questions in my mind
What would be a good pick-up line?
Why had a hot girl just come in?
If the Hulk fought Spiderman, who would win?
Good question...
I guess that Spiderman's advantage would be his web
and manual dexterity
But then again the Hulk's endurance is limitless
and he's stronger than spidey would be.
There was a,

Yeppur. And she was GREAT for sales.
The attractive young lady that I used to work with at my LCS could sell ketchup popsicle X-Men to comic dudes wearing white gloves.
Also, despite the fact that she was far too attractive to date most of the stereotypical comic shop patrons (of which we had many) she was in a somewhat familiar setting for them and she talked to them about comics so she seemed approachable and they thought they might have a chance.
They did not (and not just because she was the typical hot girl who only dated boneheads/assholes).
The best part of my day was the litany of awkward advances she was subjected to. A better person would have done something to pull her out of that situation. I chose to laugh instead. I'm a bad person.
