I don't make bloggy personal posts often (ever), but today I successfully filed my dissertation. I have a Ph.D.!

Soon, I will have a certified diploma, signed by the Terminator himself.

Sincerely,

Dr. Ryan F, Ph.D.

Congrats. Please use your power for good.

Power? I don't think there's any power. Not much money either (stupid humanities Ph.D.).

As the Dean, you are the one with all the power.

That's fantastic, you should be very proud.

Also, to be picky about it, you can either be "Dr. Ryan", or "Ryan, Ph.D.", but you can't use both designations (Dr. and Ph.D.) together.

Man, I am jealous! I always wanted to have "Dr." preceding my name.

I'm going to check if I can buy one from overseas, like Vietnam or something.

Congratulations!

"Doctor? There's someone here to see y-..."

"SHUT UP, woman! Can't you see I'm typing an intricately crafted new thread on the Bendis Board?"

"Well, I was wondering why you installed filters on everything but that site, but it really is an emergenc-..."

"Yeah, yeah, I'll be with them in a minute. Have 'em hold their stitches together. Say, do you know the best way to Google Image Search for three angry naked men cavorting around a large piece of lion dung?"
