Forgive the pandering, but i figure i'm preaching to the choir here...

if you like word balloon, please write a review at itunes, or if you're a zune user
suggest us to zune.

i don't understand why my show isn't included in itunes comic culture page, or in zune's marketplace at all, while a lot of my friends shows are. some have more reviews than i do, and they ask on thier show all the time. maybe i should do that more too...

or review us the other places you can review podcasts. podcast alley, etc...

here's wb's rss feed

http://wordballoon.libsyn.com/rss

thanks

I wrote my glowing review on iTunes, I mentioned it on my friend's blog (http://flippedcomics.com/?p=152), and I recommend to all my friends word-of-mouth.

How can one write a review for a show on Itunes?

open your iTunes, go to the iTunes store, search for 'wordballoon', click on the icon, click on 'write a review'...the link should be right under 'podcast description'...

actually, could yoyu leave your reviews at the "word balloon"

feed with the explicit rated tag, where there are at today's count, 50 reviews.

the clean rated "word balloon" is my old rss feed.

sorry to be so particular.

itunes is a very inefficient measuring method for podcasts, but sadly 99% of the world still use it .

the folks at itunes do not communicate at all with podcasters, not even via forums.

hence my old feed still lives, with no way to get them to merge the two.

very frustrating

Hey John,

I just popped over to iTunes to write a brief review. I saw a few negative comments claiming the show is political. Just wanted to say I don't see where they're coming from. A political joke now and then hardly skews the whole podcast into new territory, anymore than mentioning Welles once and awhile changes the focus of Word Balloon from comics to cinema.

Keep on keepin' on!

But now that I've broached the subject--was it crazy or what last week in the windy city? Were you in/near Grant Park?

ciao,
wjm

i saw that too...

my only guess is my few anti-bush remarks may have pissed off somebody.

i think it's the same person. maybe he doesn't like obama?

i don't think my show has fallen into political talk.i think i get along well with conservatives like EVS, and chuck dixon, as much as i do with liberal creators, like howard chaykin.

as for last week in grant park, i literally work across the street from there, in the prudential building.

it was an amazing day of real history.

yup, that's where my review was posted, John (in the one with the explicit tag).

Strange though...no matter which icon you click on (explicit or clean), it spits out the same list of podcasts. No way at all to just get rid of the "old" one??

i changed the rss url to the new one (libsyn) at the old ones original address, which is feedburner, but it still shows up as two different feeds at itunes

Short review posted. Sorry if it sounds utterly cheeseball, but it's late and I've been writing press releases recently. Posted under 'somedamnthing'

By the way - if you type 'wordballoon' (all one word) into iTunes Store, you get only the [clean] podcast and nothing else. 'word balloon' yields multiple results, both your feeds at the top.

'comic books' places your [explicit] at number 5.

When my friends and I are having our studio days we usually only listen to a few punk cd's and wordballoon, and most of the time it turns out to be a lot of wordballoon episodes. The Past studio day we listened to the Mike Norton interview and the most recent Ethan Van Sciver interview.
