I've always loved Emma Frost, even when she was a total villain during the Claremont era. And since Morrison got his hands on her, she's been one of the best characters in the X-books and all of Marvel.

Black Canary only became a great character in Birds of Prey and a lot of that character development has been negated by the GA/BC title.
