Cool. I plan on being there. Will you be at the lecture on the 14th or just the signing?

Great, James. Will be good to see you again.
I think the sked goes like this:
I go to the school on Nov 12 to speak with some writing classes and sequential art classes in the afternoon.
Then 6:30 or 7pm the signing at Austin Books. For about 3 hrs.
Friday the 14, there is the lecture at the University that I will do.
Then the opening of the gallery, where I'll give a bit of an intro to my work and maybe take Q&a and then mingle with the natives.
I hope you like the show- it will be pretty ambitions. The place will probably be filled with art- Alchemy and more.
It will be up for people to see for around a month, but I will only be there at the gallery that night at the opening.
And I'll be happy to sign stuff and chat etc.
Do you live in Austin?
Are you familiar with the university?

Great, Thanks for the info. Be good to see you too. I can't wait for this. It sounds awesome.
No, I'm afraid I don't live in Austin. I'm down in San Antonio and I'm not very familar with the university. I have a few friends that live in Austin, so I'm sure I could find out a thing or two about the university, if needed.

Hey David! This is awesome! I just got the weekly Austin Books email and heard about both the St. Edward's Gallery Show and the Austin Books signing. I hope to be able to attend both, but definitely want to see your original artwork in a gallery setting. Congrats...hope to see you there!

Thanks for letting me know. I look forward to seeing you there.
Please make sure to introduce yourself.
By the way- I sent all the art to the University to set up in their gallery.
Here is what I sent for the show:
ALL of The Alchemy.
All nine issues. Around 234 pages of the complete story of The Alchemy of the full size original art work.
And an additional 100 artworks of various paintings and drawings, including Daredevil and Alias covers and many many personal works.
SO- Up to 334 artworks depending on how many the gallery can fit in their space.
I hope everyone can make it to the opening and signing.

I'll be there for sure, and I'm doing a write-up of you and the event for the Round Rock Leader, which is the local paper for the suburb just north of Austin. The article should run the 13th, so I can't really pimp the Austin Books signing (though I love that store- Brad is a great guy), but hopefully the article will draw some other people in.
I'm actually a student at St. Eds too (I went back to school and they have a great adult program), and I think you'll like it.
EDIT: It looks like the Alchemy HC isn't gonna hit until after the signing. Is that the case? Cuz, man, that sucks. If there's anything I want you to sign, it's that.
