Anyone doing this? I am. I'm going to take a stab at a Tom Strange novel, having read almost none of his actual comics. Should be fun.

I'm not a writer, really, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't try to grow in that area. And I think the story I have in mind wouldn't be visually exciting enough for sequentials.

3812 words in. Slightly ahead if schedule.

So far there has been a micro nuclear explosion and a giant walrus attack. Fun stuff!

Tried it last year, sputter out at 10k words.

This year right on schedule at just over 5k words. Going to try to write more tonight and pull a bendis and start getting ahead of schedule...

I'm trying it too.
I'm a staff musician at a large Methodist church and I'm writing during the sermons.
I almost filled the first Moleskine softcover notebook this week.

It's an idea that's been rolling around in my head for a couple years.

Just got to 36,763 words. This is one of the hardest things I've ever tried to do. But I know I can make it. I'm trying to get to 40,000 by tonight.

Got just under 7,000 to go. I'm going to knock out a go five thousand today, but we'll see.

Well, I finished. It may not be pretty now, but it's done. I'll spend the next two months trying to make sense of it.
