This seems like it's going to be a really fun story and, in addition, the recap page (which is serving a different purpose this month) is also very intriguing. Something usable came out of that Last Defenders series after all.:)

Most people didn't. The story wasn't that good but the result of the story (the new Defenders team) is promising and I hope Marvel writers will choose to use the new concept.

Back to Ms. Marvel...

I was surprised at just how interested I was about this period of Ms. Marvel's history upon reading the preview and now I'm a little bummed that this will only be a two issue story.

Yeah, The Last Defenders mini didn't do it for me either. It was all over the place with the story, team roster, etc. etc.

After fighting Skrulls and visiting her dying father, this issue really took me by surprise. Don't know if it was intentional or not, but it reminded me a lot of the Iron Man origin a bit, especially how it was portrayed in the movie. Can't wait to see how Carol outs out of this one.
