Any 'Bobcats' out there?
I'm dig'n this newest bootleg series. DREAMIN' OF YOU may be my favorite, but that version of RING THEM BELLS is pretty great too. 'CROSS THE GREEN MOUNTAIN makes me want to cry, it's so great and sad and full.

I really dug "Most of the Time" off the new Bootleg Series. Anyone know how it compares to the Oh Mercy version?

Yeah man. I like the bootleg version better, it's a little more positive, like he is pushing forward even though it's really tough sometimes.
The OH MERCY version is a lot slower, and you need to be smoking and drinking when you listen to it. It's great, soulful, but man it's heavy. Like he's really just trying to convince himself that he's over her.
Then there's Sophie Zelmani's cover, from the MASKED & ANONYMOUS OST. Real tough stuff. Great instrumentation, and she has such a beautiful voice.

Love the Freewheelin' Bob Dylan and Greatest Hits albums.

I like both versions. It took a few times for the Bootleg version to grow on me because in a lot of ways it just sounds like a run-through, and the original is one of my favorite Oh Mercy songs. In fairness, it may be the most Lanoised up song on there, too.
Both discs of this new Bootleg have a consistent feel to them, like albums almost. That live Ring them Bells is amazing, as is the live High Water, the song from Gods and Generals, and, well, most of the songs. Maybe someday they'll give those of us without 150 bucks a chance to get the third disc.

Wait, what? There's a special edition with a whole other disc? Too bad I hung up my internet piracy peg-leg.
Oh, sorry. Only 117 at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Tell-Tale-Signs-Bootleg-Deluxe/dp/tracks/B001DFQFEG/ref=dp_tracks_all_3#disc_3) (list 169).
12 more songs and a hardcover book of photos of all of his singles.
