Ok people, listen up.....
Ya'll here are on John's board, so I figure there's a chance you'd probably want to hear this. This Sunday, a film by the name of "VIOLENT SATURDAY" will be playing on TV.
Why does this matters? Well, let me tell you a thing or two about VIOLENT SATURDAY.....
VIOLENT SATURDAY, is a film directed by Richard Fleischer (The Vikings), son of Max Fleischer. It's suburban crime film all about a perverse Edward Hopper-esque town where a robbery is about to occur and all the sick, pathetic, romantic and heroic people who live in it.
The robbers? Lee Marvin, Stephen McNally, and J. Carrol Naish.
The plan? Rob the bank, hijack a car and make it take them to the Amish farm that they've taken over, where they'll switch vehicles and make their way out with the cash in hand.
The problem? They weren't expecting Ernest Borgnine to be one of the Amish farmers.

Criminally, this movie (which I have had the pleasure of watching in a movie theatre) is not available on vhs or dvd. So, in the name of cultural education/advancement I thought I'd share with all'a you that it's going to be shown tomorrow morning on the Fox Movie Channel (at 10am EST). I don't know how many of you have that channel, but if I get one....just one person to see the movie, I'll have made the world a slightly better place.
