Wow! He's absolutely one of my 2-3 favorite writers! I'm totally psyched for this...

This is fascinating. I think my opinion of his movies has been painted by the people I know who like them. I don't like those people. But after listening to this guy talk, I think I'd get along with him, and I think I should like his movies more.

How much does he talk about Synecdoche, it's plot and such?

I kinda want to go into the film knowing as little as possible...

Wish they'd done it over the phone instead of at a restaurant. The jazz music in the background gets too loud sometimes and it's kinda irritating when they place their orders and the waiter brings it and stuff.

Wordballoon's clarity has spoiled me!!

It's interesting though. He's not entirely like I thought he would be.

He's actually more cynical than I thought he'd be.

Yeah, I think the background noise is a little much sometimes too, but it is neat that you can tell nothing was cut or edited around. This is just straight talk. You know you get to hear exactly what the guy said, the way he said it.

Also, here (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1205307711541927806&ei=XxDRSIO2M4rw-gGtsqHGAg&q=%22get+a+life%22+time+travel+episode&vt=lf&hl=en) is the Time Travel episode of GET A LIFE he was talking about.

thanks for the link. I think its pretty funny the guy didn't edit out the part where he had to go to the can and there is a few minutes of dead air.

this reporter sent me a pm, touting her la weekly blog interview

Hi,

I noticed the Charlie Kaufman forum here and wanted to send you a link to the interview I just did with him for the LA Weekly. I thought it would be awkward to post it in the forum, being new member and all.

http://blogs.laweekly.com/ladaily/ho...alks-synecdoc/ (http://blogs.laweekly.com/ladaily/hollywood/charlie-kaufman-talks-synecdoc/)

I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks.
