i bought this for my nephew.
theres a cool one that most stores are selling by a generic brand that works like a tommy gun. its sweet.
I also got my nephew the generic repeater rifle nerf gun. it ejects a cartridge when you fire.

The Ultimator! You had to almost pump it up, and it had these huge darts that attached to the end. And it made a loud bang as the giant spring launched! It was always a surprise to my friends as they came around a corner after me, especially when they would get hit in the face. :lol:

They're friggin awesome. My boys love em. I've seen some pretty damn cool ones that other kids have too. My kids have the one you showed a pic of buy they have bow and arrow sets, and even god damn bazookas. They have so much fun with this stuff. I'm jealous.

Another incredible thing is that on the NERF websites, they have tons of modifications to make them shoot faster/farther/etc. I really just had no idea. I love it!

Yeah, but not a whole lot. I guess there is a mod you can do to make it flip out all the way, and then you can spin it and snap it back.

I tried one of the simpler range increase mods on a maverick and fucked it up pretty bad. The full range of movement for the chamber is very easy if you have access to a dremel, though.

I was going to use it to play with (i.e., shoot) my cats, but it's TOO POWERFUL! So I just shoot the TV with it. It was useful during the recent RNC.

A few years ago I bought the Nerf Wildfire, which was an air-powered automatic gun, it fired off 30 darts in just a few seconds. Of course, the compression chamber developed a crack in it, and apparently was a fairly common problem, so much that the Nerf site had a page for it saying they wouldn't fix it for you :-p.
