Apparently, there are some Olsen Twins jokes that push the envelope even further than previous roasts have done. More surprisingly, John Stamos is responsible for at least one or two of them.

I heard that Cloris Leachman steals the show.

I still can't believe they haven't done the Roast for Jon Stewart. It's overdue.

Norm MacDonald's deadpan was way ahead of its time on Weekend Update. Stan Hooper was a pretty awesome character too.

Did Comedy Central get in trouble for the Pamela Anderson Roast where her tits were visible through her dress for the whole show?

I'm beyond excited for this. I had no idea that Stamos was roast master. This should be good.

So they release an unedited DVD later, right?

So they release an unedited DVD later, right?

They will probably show it on the Secret Stash one Saturday night. They did that with the Shatner Roast

Gilbert Gottfried does an Olsen Twin joke:

The Olsen Twins walk into a bar. They ask the bartender for an Asshurt
The bartender says "What's an asshurt?"
"It's when Bob Saget brings you some chocolate milk and you wake up three hours later with your pajama pants around your ankles."

I wonder how many sexually explicit Olsen Twin jokes we'll hear . . . :ecstatic:

Why should they get in trouble for performing a public service?

Comedy Central is cable programming. They have much more free reign than CBS, ABC, etc. Plus, she was clothed, and translucent clothing does not equal nudity.

Man, it's gone down hill after Greg Giraldo ended his set.

Huh. Doesn't really affect me (not like everyone hasn't seen them before) but it sucks for parents who have their kids flipping through channels.

It's on at 10PM. Those parents have to know that if they give their kids the remote, eventually they're going to find Pamela Anderson's tits.

That's the risk parents take when they pay for cable. It's a much bigger deal for the free to anyone over-the-air channels (ref. Janet Jackson Superbowl) .

Just saw it. I don't really think that was it. I think it was more him making fun of typical roast-type jokes in general - like, the inherent silliness of saying terrible things about people that you don't really have any ill feelings towards ("They want to murder you in a well. Seems a little harsh!") - a very Norm-esque thing to do.

Fucking brilliant. I was dying by around the fourth joke. The fact that he was followed by that guy trying too hard was even better.

I don't think there's a person here that wouldn't enjoy watching Henry Fonda pick blueberries!

Doesn't really matter on the OTA stuff either. The FCC doesn't really care what gets shown after 9pm, 'cause at that point your kids should be in bed.

Cloris Leachman and Norton owned the show.

Its a shame that Uncle Joey wasn't among the comics on stage. Just so everyone could make fun of him more.

Norm is great. Unfortunately not everybody "gets" him. They don't grasp his snark. His stuff isn't just sarcasm. Anybody can do sarcasm. Norm's snark is much more "artful" in its technique.

And where the hell is the Jon Stewart Roast? That seems like such a no brainer to me. Have Colbert or Carrell Host and you are golden.

His comedy might be too "smart" for the average CC viewer, sadly.

They never get anyone remotely famous for these (that's become part of the premise now, I think.) I doubt Stewart would be interested.

Did you guys see his "Back to Norm" pilot on Comedy Central circa 2005? It was probably the only thing from him I didn't like. Save one sketch, it was terrible.

I didn't watch the roast but I saw the Macdonald outtake. I thought he was hilarious. I think the fact that most of the crowd wasn't laughing just made it even funnier to me.

Norm MacDonald was great here, and is great in just about everything else he touches. It really is too bad that more people don't get him.

As for getting more "known" celebs, I think they just need to stick - as was mentioned earlier - to comics with comic friends. The Roasts of Pam Anderson and Flavor Flav were funny, but just fucking mean for their own sakes because they were roasting useless pieces of shit (all due respect to the Public Enemy era, but Flav is currently a joke).

Even if you edited out the parts where everyone got sappy for the last minute or so of their turns, it would have been obvious that this crew really liked and cared about each other - especially Saget - and that all of the shit they were talking came from a place of love. That's been missing since they stopped doing this through the Friars' Club.

Belated bump. I just wanted to chime in that Cloris Leachman was awesome. She was my fave of the night, but the whole show was a laugh riot.

I watched several parts of this just now and holy shit was Norm Macdonald funny.

The dude had me in tears with his intentionally corny jokes, if you guys want to see it again check it here:
