There's nothing fixed about it. All the famous people involved, Affleck, Damon, and Craven, wanted the other 2 scripts all along. But the people that are actually making the movie, the executives at Dimension, outvoted them. I guess the famous people got pretty pissed about that because they actually got the director they wanted.

I'm surprised the runners-up in past seasons haven't had their movies made.

Yeah, why do those Variety or whatever articles always have the name twice like that? Also, what the fuck is with crap like this:

Pic had been in development at Paramount for producer Alan Ladd Jr.

and this:

Project marks a return to Affleck's scripting roots after starring in a string of duds like "Surviving Christmas," "Jersey Girl" and "Gigli."

Why in the name of fuck do they not put a 'the' in the beginning? There are some other things they do, I believe, but these are the ones I found just now. Does anyone actually know what this is all about? Are morons in control here?

The new director is kind of a half-tard. My money says this movie will tank.

That's a shame. The other Project Greenlight movies did so well.

I'm so not getting the decisions made on Project Greenlight. I think this current movie, "Feast", is doomed from the start.

Why does Dimension pick a script that needs so much work, and that the other guys think sucks? And then, Why do the other guys pick the director with the LEAST amount of communication skills and no ability to actually use actors other than his relatives? Does this make any sense?

They pick the wrongest script with the wrongest type of director. They liked the guy's samples, but he obviously has no experience working with people other than his family. I feel for the guy, but he seems out of place on this obviosuly commercially-driven project. And what a douche the guy at Dimension is. He's just, ALWAYS a prick.
