After looking over my last.fm of late, I've come to the realization that many of the albums I've listened to recently have been from the past decade. So, I thought, "why not discuss favorite '90s albums."
So, make a list. Discuss. Go on, do it.
My 25 favorite LPs of the '90s:
Sloan -- Twice Removed
Weezer -- Pinkerton
Stereolab -- Mars Audiac Quintet
The Promise Ring -- Nothing Feels Good
Phantom Planet -- ...Is Missing
The Breeders -- Last Splash

Call me a rebel, but I enjoyed Twice Removed and Navy Blues over One Chord.

That's a compilation.
So is Hatful of Hollow, which is the best Smiths album. But Bona Drag is barely a compilation. Only two of the songs appear on any proper Morrissey album (and both of those on Viva Hate). That leaves twelve songs that were never on any other albums, and with the other two they make fourteen of the best songs in his catalogue, all of which flow together really nicely. This is like arguing that Panda Bear's "Person Pitch" is a compilation because so many of the tracks had been released on singles, or that Magical Mystery Tour is a compilation because half was a soundtrack and the other half was a collection of British singles. It's an album, it's Morrissey's best, and it's one of the best of the 90's.

Automatic for the People by R.E.M.
Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain by Pavement
Doolittle by The Pixies
The Bends & OK Computer by Radiohead
If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle and Sebastian
Either/Or by Ellliot Smith
Something to Write Home About by The Get Up Kids
Ben Folds Five by Ben Folds Five
Lonesome Crowded West by Modest Mouse
Mule Variations by Tom Waits
Weezer (The Blue Album) & Pinkerton by Weezer
As for order? I'd probably put 'If You're Feeling Sinister', 'Automatic for the People', 'Pinkerton' and 'Crooked Rain...' as my top few.

1. Neutral Milk Hotel - In an Aeroplane Over the Sea (one of the best albums ever).
2. REM - Automatic for the People
3. Death Cab for Cutie - Something about Aeroplanes (this changed how I viewed music forever when it first came out. DCFC has better albums, but this is what started the ride).
4. Built to Spill - Keep it Like a Secret
5. Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
6. Weezer - Pinkerton
7. The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulliten
8. Nirvana - In Utero
9. Pearl Jam - vs.
10. Rufus Wainwright - Rufus Wainwright
11. Radiohead - OK Computer
12. Johnny Cash - American Recordings (and the whole "American" series, really).
13. Elliott Smith - Either/Or
14. Aphex Twin - The Richard D. James Album
15. The Beta Band - The Three EPs
Off the top of my head, but I'm probably missing some good ones.

Alright, before I list the following, I want to explain that before high school and to a greater extent college, I had zero taste in music. I always listened to very generic stuff. That said:
Will Smith - Big Willie Style
Spice Girls - Whatever the fuck it wall called - Spice World or some shit - or was that the movie?
Tog+her - the fucking MTV boy band. I thought it was hilarious.
Space Ghost's Coast to Coast like soundtrack or sometihng, very ninieties
I consider this an album - the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater sonudtrack - though that's really late nineties, 99 in fact.
The Best of Darrly Hall and John Oates - which I still listen to to this day
The Gin Blossoms - New Misterably Experience (still love)
Sammy Hagar Van Halen
Hanson - dude, it was mostly my brother, and he dragged me into listening to it
And lots of one hit wonders
I swear to god, I'm not that lame now. I swear.

Saw the wackness tonight. It reminded me that hip-hop is not nearly as good as it was in 1994.

That's the year In/Casino/Out was released.

Dude, my taste wasn't finely honed at the time either (mostly because I was in the single digits until 1997). In the '90s, my 8 year old self wouldn't be able to appreciate the complexity of Jeff Mangum's lyrics or Cedric and Omar's subversive take on Post-Hardcore. I only got into this music around 2003 (my sophomore year in high school).

Downloaded and listening to Stone Temple Pilots' Purple right now. Great album and it holds up well. Good summer music.

Your Arsenal is good, but it's less dynamic than Bona Drag. It's probably number two on my list. Ringleader of the Tormentors might be number three.
Ringleader is great, but the second side has some weak moments. It's a lot better than You Are The Quarry, which I enjoyed a great deal when it came out, but sounds very much like a product of 2004, rather than the kind of timeless quality the best Morrissey songs have.
