I read this in Lying in the Gutters, and got a bit excited. All the artists seem to be heading over to DC, but with Ellis, Brubaker and now *supposedly* Andy Diggle at Marvel it looks like there could be a contest.
Don't get me wrong, I love Bendis and Millar, but Marvel needs some new blood on thier big titles.
Anybody have a guess at what he's going to be writing? I bet he could handle the reins of ULTIMATES 3 quite well, but that may just be me.

Damn. He wrote Adam Strange, right? I think he could actually do a really good Silver Surfer comic. Even Namor.

Yes, either of those would be great. Loved his Strange mini.

A few months ago, I took Rich to task for an article he posted about me which featured a number of factual errors. When I pointed out that he really ought to have checked his facts with me first, he countered that as a "rumour monger" rather than a "journalist", it was more important to be entertaining than right.
That may well be true. But he's now claimig to have turned LITG into an "investigative journalism column", and once again he's run a piece about me without checking his facts first... and the piece again contains at least two factual errors. Not bad considering it only runs to three sentences.
As Brian Glover said in ALIEN 3, "This is rumour control, here are the facts" --
Andy Diggle's exclusive deal with DC Comics ran out last week, will be working with Marvel shortly.
Actually, my DC exclusive doesn't expire until the end of June.
Expect a project announcement or indeed a Marvel exclusive announcement over the summer.
Actually, I haven't discussed exclusive contracts with Marvel or anyone else. However, we may well be announcing one or two new DC projects over the summer.
Neither Andy Diggle or Marvel Comics responded to inquiries.
Actually, I never received any enquiries.
Rich, if you're reading this - my email address is right there on my website, and you can post to my forum. If you're going to pretend to be an "investigative journalist", at least try to make a bit of an effort, eh? How hard is it to drop me a fucking email?

Diggle would make a good choice to helm a revised Captain Britain series I think. I really don't think we need another Excalibur series.
It'd be nice if someone who was actually English handled the character again. I don't really count Warren Ellis as his run didn't really focus on the Captain as much as Kitty Pryde & Pete Wisdom and get me wrong, I liked Ellis' Excalibur.
Still whatever Diggle ends up doing it will be interesting as I think he's one of the freshest writers in comics today.

So does that mean DC's only writers are gonna be Jeph Loeb, Judd Winnick and Geoff Johns?

Waid.
Thats true too, but he's been sick. He dropped out of that Spider-Man book he was doing, and Besides his Legion book, i really don't know what Waid is doing at DC. What about his Hunter/Killer book with Silvestri?

He probably doesn't have any time.
It's been said that he'll be co-writing Ultimate X-Men with Bryan Singer instead of leaving the book altogether.
Between that Ex Machina, Runaways, Y that's 4 monthly titles right there so adding a fifth would probably be stretching it for him.

How about Grant Morrison and Frank Miller ?DC is not in trouble with thier writing department, they have some of the best. Nothing to worry about. Just to tell you though, that unlike Morrison, Miller is not under contract.

...... did we just randomly stumble upon our Moon Knight writer?
Deathlok is a cool choice too... or Iron Fist...
the man in hands down the best action writer in comics... any of those above guys would be great...
