Not a bad setlist. Catering to a wide variety of genres.
They are not helping themselves by using songs already on Rock Band.

Yeah I noticed a chunk of the songs are re-used from other games.
With such a small set list(40) they really shouldn't be recycling.
THWIP!

What's Rock Revolution?

Konami's music game.
They kind of invented the genre.

Youth Gone Wild Skid RowHooboy, that's going to send the wife into a tizzy.
However, the repeated songs are probably going to make this a non-issue in my house.

Konami's music game.
They kind of invented the genre. And are failing at trying to get a share of it now.

Andy have you seen the 'drum' kit?
That's what makes it a non issue in my house.
Bad setlist. I want to play maybe two songs on there. And covers = fail.
I've heard the drumming isn't supposed to be realistic, like it is in Rock Band and presumably Guitar Hero.

Yeah, it looks to be a half-hearted, half-assed effort on their behalf. Stiff graphics, lame UI, lame drumset... Covers would've been acceptable in Guitar Hero 2's day, but by now they're not going to cut it. A couple would be all right, but all 40? Naaah.
They SHOULD want to get in there. They should also have tried a lot harder if they were serious about it.

That's what makes it a non issue in my house.Yeah, I have. I was willing to wait to see someone playing with it before making a final decision, but I wasn't that thrilled by it.
I found a picture, for those who haven't seen it.

Why doesn't someone make a game like this geared towards more pop sensibilities? I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, but it would be huge. Release it for the Wii and it would displace Singstar and all that other kinda stuff. :)

See that's what I don't understand.
Why wouldn't you want a game about drumming to simulate actual drumming?
It makes absolutely no sense to me, and drives me up the wall, that these songs are being 'wasted' on this game.
I know hair metal is kind of a joke genre, and a lot of people don't like it, but I really think they would be fun songs to play in a party environment.
