Does anyone remember the day puck and wolverine exclusives went up for sale? i know it was a ways back. we have heard mention of tons of exclusives, so hopefully they will come through soon, but any updates RANDY BOWEN, would be nice to hear from you, or at leasts an idea of what/when it will come?

but not club exclusives - any joe schmo can order the web exclusives, just not ge tthe discount. I just want to feel like the membership is worth having other than the discount. I order all my busts and statues direct from Bowen - so i know the savings, for me personally far outweigh the club price, which I am happy with. But i would just love the chance to really make good use of the membership and order something special for the bowen club members. You really wouldn't?

Thats not the point. In no way did I say it wasn't worth joining the club, but one of the huge benefits of joining, stated or not on the website, was the access to exclusives. No complaints here, but, as an observation, I'm surprised that we haven't seen the "red caped" Black Knight FS as a CC exclusive already, especially considering the "standard" version has been posted for sale for a month now - I thought that that one was an all-but given. No biggie . . . in reality, the BK won't ship until . . . what? November? . . . so plenty of time to get that one up for order and allow the CC members to buy both, or switch their orders.

Besides, a blue Quicksilver with DARK blue shorts as a CC exclusive will be worth the wait as well. ;) And, who knows, perhaps RB'll put a smile on Al's face and post a metallic blue Cap. I'm sure we'll ALL be given more than ample opportunity to get out respective money's worth in CC exclusives.

but I do agree with IronLantern. While the 20% discount is nice, the reason many members are in the club is for the exclusives. We all know that if all we wanted was access to purchasing statues and busts at 20% of retail, there are many places to get it if not at a higher discount. What is special is the exclusives and while they've been few and far between lately, I'd rather wait a little longer for a Thor Frog unique exclusive as opposed to a "red cape" Black Knight. More elaborate costume variations might make for really nice exclusives ( like possibly a Green Wonder Man costume, or a "Not blue and furry" Beast, or even Yellow costume and short hair Aurora) as opposed to just slapping some red paint on a cape or going stark white with Elektra (and not even bald). I feel real bad for the poor dead horse, but that's my opinion.

Blue, metallic finish Cap is a NO BRAINER! Other ones I'd like to see...

1. A repaint of either Cap as The Captain.
2. A pink, metallic variant of Machine Man. Heck! A red version as well!

1. A rejected statue that a limited audience liked.
2. A simple repaint that a limited audience wants.
3. A little adjustment and repaint to a pre-existing sculpt that a limited audience wants.

Randy is running a business. He has a payroll. He is only going to produve first run statues that lots of folks want. If you don't realize this by now, you aren't paying attention.

I'm in the same boat as IronLantern, I've been a club member for many years now, and will be for as long as the club exists. There is no argument that the membership pays for itself with the first or second purchase. The opinion is that many members are in the club mainly for the exclusives and the discount is great, too. If Bowen Designs makes anywhere from $15,000-$20,000 a year just on membership fees(based on 600-800 members), I think the members voicing their opinion about the club is not a bad thing. I've read on a few forums how current members are considering not renewing their membership; if it were me, I wouldn't have a problem listening to what the members want in order to maintain that annual membership income. I don't think it's whining, just consumers voicing their opinions.
And, I do understand Randy is running a business....I guess I always thought part of running a business was getting as much feedback from the consumers that is my base for sales. Continuing my consumers spending their hard earned money in a difficult economy on my products I thought would be a good thing....but I guess you might disagree, Al.

I was only expressing my desire for an exclusive bust or statue to be offered. Many Many collectors agree with me. I am not complaining about the club, the practices, or an such nature ..... in fact, it can be clearly read where i said that i order just from Bowen and the savings more than makes up r the club price. Al, you act pompous and better than everyone, like what you say is the only thing that matters ..... if you really don't like the thread topic, don't post 1000 times in it.

I'm thinking you're right in that Bowen is waiting to offer the Black Knight CC exclusive until they are closer to be shipped since he'd be selling them directly through the website. It probably just makes life easier for the company to be able to take the orders and have a quick turnaround.

I feel the HUGE benefit is the discount especially on website exclusives, the perk is the cc exclusives.

I know what you're saying, but while members are USED to being offered cc exclusives that was never a promise made. If he stopped providing them he would in no way be breaking his promise to us.

I like the CC exclusives too, but my wallet needs a break from the faux bronze extravaganza. We're not all rich like you man. :D

I prefer the unique character over repaints, but there are some really cool repaints available on characters that Bowen releases so I can't complain, but yeah I'm all about a Doop or Thor Frog over a white costume Elektra, mainly because you are adding a new (obscure) character to the collection.

Obviously we'll have to agree to disagree, but I'd be willing to bet the majority of club members joined assuming Exclusives were part of the deal. I know Randy is very very busy, and I know he has a few exclusive ideas rattling around in his head, and I have no doubt we'll be seeing some soon.

I started in '99 too. '99-'03 were the glory days. Since then alot of companies have dropped out, and its gotten a little smaller, but I still love going. You just never know whats going to happen. Last year I ended up in a panel with Gary Oldman, Christian Bale, and Aaron Eckhardt. And I met Michael Madsen. This year I have an Ethan Van Schiver commission waiting for me, and there is going to be a Image founders panel. Hopefully a The Dark Knight surprise too.

Well my point is that we do have a reason to expect CC exclusives, because they have always been done. Every three months or so, there were new exclusives. Golden Bucky, FF She Hulk, Electro w/arms, Armored Daredevil, White Elektra, GC Frankie Raye, Red Cape Black Knight mb, Chrome Iron Man 2-Pack, Red Iron Fist mb, etc. They have ALWAYS been done, its reasonable to believe they'll continue.

Obviously we'll have to agree to disagree, but I'd be willing to bet the majority of club members joined believing Exclusives were part of the deal. I know Randy is very very busy, and I know he has a few exclusive ideas rattling around in his head, and I have no doubt we'll be seeing some soon.
