Never trust a man in a bow tie.

Bottom line, he was just a really nice guy. He was in town showing his kids the same grammar school that I went to.
And emu, you're the pinko's pinko.
You know it, I know it, and Bob Dole knows it. :p

I heard somewhere that he was a dick...
But on the other hand, good tippers are few and far between... :D

Just because I don't like his politics doesn't mean he couldn't be a nice guy.

He was just plain nice.
I wouldn't know how else to put it. I couldn't imagine somebody thinking he was a dick. Then again, we all get in bad moods and take it out on the working man.

And your mother knows it too! :p
By the way, when you were explaining episode three to him, did you mention that it’s basically a big budget anti-Bush polemic?
;)

I brought that up-- I wasn't explaining it to him, I was helping him explaining it to his kids, but I did bring the percieved anti-Bush sub-text up to him, and he said "people just need something to write about-- it's just the classic story of the dissolution of democracy" which is basically what I've been saying al along.

Okay...
But this comletely calls into question my entire view of the universe --
no, wait, that would be if Limbaugh was a nice person. ;)

But many people view that as what is currently happening here.
By the way, did he have a bow tie on?

I don't agree with much of what the guys says, but I like him. He seems completely reasonable and has a good sense of humor.

Think Jon Stewart would ever have him on Daily Show? Would he go on? I would LOVE to see that.

Limbaugh is a *very* nice person. He raises a lot of money for charity, too; leukemia and lymphoma organizations, mainly.
Enjoy that paradigm shift...;)

Sorry, but the fact that you think Tucker Carlson is a good guy, and better than most (and not to mention your insults in your post), proves you don't know much.
Tucker Carlson is perhaps one of the biggest douches who has ever walked the earth.

Yeah, that Paul Simon wore a bowtie, but he was still a geek.
While I don't agree with some of his view, he always seemed pretty nice.

Have you seen Crossfire? I don't doubt that he could be a nice guy in person, but on that show he was a total dick.

I think the problem with the perception of guys like Carlson, Limbaugh, and Carville is that these guys are ultimately entertainers posing as pundits.
The cameras roll and they all play their part. While I disagree with nearly everything that comes out of Limbaugh's mouth, I'm consistently entertained by his show. Same with Carlson and Carville.
I'm sure they are all pretty cool cats when not in the spotlight (apparently Limbaugh spends that time scoring and getting high).
Except Joe Scarborough... that guy is a douche 24/7.

I agree. I rarely agree with him, but he's very entertaining.
