I was just offered a job there. I'm probably not going to take it, but it's for less money than I make now (it's $12 an hour) - and I can't imagine it being that much cheaper there than in Tampa.

Expensive. My neighbors are paying $1650 a month for a two bedroom townhouse.
Edit: They're paying too much, but I think rents have gone up since people are losing their homes, so there's more of a market for renting.

How much are townhomes going for up there? The most expensive ones here are up around 230K.

You can't get any townhouse for less than $300,000 without moving way, way out.
I just moved out of Fairfax after 30 years. It is one of the most expensive places to live in the country.

I wasn't planning on even going through the process for the job offer, but I was thinking that there's no way I'd be able to live off of 25k a year.
