Have fun.
I saw him a few years ago and he was very interesting/entertaining.
A lot more mild mannered than I figured he would be.

I'm really excited about this. I've read all of his stuff, with the exception of Snuff.

I used to love his stuff, but I think I've outgrown him.

Snuff was an interesting idea but it felt like a short story expanded.

It was a great event. Got a signed copy of Snuff and a signed autograph hound (a stuffed dog that's from Snuff) that was tossed into the crowd. Didn't get one of the blow-up dolls they tossed out, but that's ok. He read an original story written for this tour called Loser, answered some questions, and told a couple of stories. One about a pug dog and another about a baggage handler at an airport. Entertaining stuff. Nobody fainted.

I feel snooty saying it but I feel the same way.

It's not intended to be snooty, although I can see how it could be taken that way. I just think that his stuff used to appeal to the angry young man in me, and I'm not that young or that angry anymore. And, to be honest, I think his last couple offerings have been really weak.

the biggest problem i've always had with all of his books and probably why i haven't enjoyed the last few (or even finished them) is that it's all the same basic premise.
main character with problems. main character spirals downward. main character hits bottom. main character meets another person who helps them realize rock bottom ain't so bad. the end.
and it's like that in every book. in fight club, invisible monsters, haunted (although this is one of the ones i didn't finish) and to me the idea just got really tired and retread.

Awesome. I saw him last year in Chicago right around this time when he was touring for Rant. Did he ask trivia questions at the one you were at? I won a giant inflatable caribou (he called it a moose, though) head for answering this question first:
What was the safety word in "Choke"?

Ya know... I still need to read his books ever since I watched Fight Club. I became really fascinated with the guy after watching the documentary on him, Postcards from the Future.
