I hope this coming out as FS of maybe as a variant of the bucky statue. Don't care muchh for Bucky though. Always found the character a bit lame. Captains own Robin. I love the pose & as much as I like long hair (I'm a former long-hair myself!), I prefer the same pose or similar with the short hair. That's when he realized that he was Bucky. In fact, the new Bucky head would probably look good on the WS.

I've been pushing for WS for a LONG time. I posted several pics on SF for him. I think he should be the short hair version, with the cap shield insignia on his shoulder. He'd look good in a Nick Fury type of pose, or maybe with a base where he had one leg on a ledge, looking downward possibly with a sniper rifle. Please do not do the long hair version!

Disagree i like the long hair. Short hair is just to bucky. Its good to have a not good clean cut character in my collection:lol:

A poll may be in order. I think when this was discussed a long time ago at SF, the consensus leaned towards short hair version. A change o head was discussed as well, but RB didnt comment on it.

If anything they should do a Nomad variant. Winter Soldier is a complete rip-off of Jack Monroe. He was the second Bucky, then became the blue and gold Nomad, and finally the 90's Nomad. Who, I'm sorry, looked a lot like the Winter Soldier. Why do you think they killed off Jack Monroe? Can't have two of the same character running around can they? Those of you who like WS should check out the 25 issue Nomad run. If you can't see the similarities in the character's designs you're missing something...

Id love a Steve Rogers Nomad with a Jack Monroe variant, but WS blows Monroe away IMO.

If they had made Jack Monroe into the Winter Soldier would you have liked WS as much? If not, why not? The original Bucky could have just, you know, stayed dead. Nomad was my favorite comic when I was younger and I always thought they could have done so much more with him.

I agree that they could have done more with him. I actually started reading Cap when he came back in the 280's against Viper and then became the second Nomad. I never read his solo series, but I didnt care for him losing the Nomad costume. He looked a little funky to me in his trench. I was VERY upset when he was killed.

As far as WS, the story that was created with him is awesome. From Bucky never dying, to becoming a Soviet assassin, to ultimately turning back into a hero is a great read.

I like the storyline too, but Nomad could have stuck around. Killing Jack Monroe wasn't totally necessary, but Winter Soldier and he were just too similar for them both to exist in the same universe.

The part of the story in the 25-issue run that I really liked was the fact he had to take care of a baby, something they're doing again in the new Cable series.
