After years of perfection ( none of my statues are even scratched) my Gambit fs belt snapped. I was rearranging my statues and I hit hit with my thumb. It's barely holding on. Should I snap it off then glue it or what??? Help me. Thanks in advance.

Anthony

I'd either have it fixed or scrap it and get another one. I'm extremely nutty about defects especially when I'm involved with the damage.

All I know is super glue doesn't work. Lots of luck and let me know so I can fix Thunderbird's feathers.

After the same experience twice. I would get a new statue. The belt is molded around a small wire. You can never get it to look right again. This is a common problem with this statue. I think the belt should have been made molded to the side of Gambit's coat. The way it was made it is an accident waiting to happen. That's my only problem with this piece.

Talk to Danno, Jesse, or BoondockSaint. They seem to always have solid solutions for stuff like this.

With the internal wire holding it, it's best to not completely break it off.
The wire will help give it strength when you glue it back together.

For repairs like this, I am usually pretty fussy. I would probably use a pin vice and a very thin hobby drill bit and drill another hole in both parts so that I could insert a pin for added strength. Cement together with 5-minute epoxy, sand the crack, putty it with AVES Apoxie sculpt to create the surface, spot prime and color match the area.

Thanks for the advice but sounds a little difficult. Any other suggestions?
