THey had some run ins in the past during the start of the first Wolverine ongoing. She worked as a body guard for the local crime lord of Madripor and Wolvie worked with another.

This is what has me confused about the last page. Might just be shock value.

have you read Uncanny lately...it looks like it ties in directly to what happened to him in that book recently (last month's issue I believe)

Can someone please explain to me what is happening with Uncanny and why this crosses in with New Avengers?

Thanks!

wolverine went down to the Savage Land where something happened that made him bonkers...he ran off into the jungle...it may or maynot have to do with this super evolved race of lizard/dinosaur people that are plotting to kill all the humans on earth and the Xmen are trying to stop them (which I believe is a result of the High Evolutionary restoring the Savage land all those years ago in an XMen annual)[/hide:5bf9e93674]

[hide:0ad5c09608]He ran off to help a friend, it hasn't fully been revealed why yet. X-23 stowed away on the X-Plane he took. There was a fight, she sent a distress signal and the rest of the team showed up. No one knows where Wolverine is right now in the book.[/hide:0ad5c09608]

I think there was an explanation given but I don't remember...

it's hard for me to remember certain books month to month

I do know he got a phone call and said he needed to leave...and he went to the Savage Land and freaked out

A few years ago the Savage Land was wiped out by a cosmic bad guy who I'm not sure of (the name)...then The High Evolutionary basically kicked the evolution of the local plant and animal life into high gear, it had been hinted at for years that the dinosaurs were getting smarter and smarter (all the way back to Peter David's Kazaar) because of this

the alien marauder Terminus (or, possibly a pawn of his acting on his behalf) wreaked extraordinary destruction within the Savage Land and Pangea, destroying the climate-control machinery and snuffing the volcanoes surrounding the Savage Land. Terminus slaughtered great numbers of the sentient beings living in Pangea through the vast destructive energies he wielded, and, with the volcanoes extinct and the climate-control machinery wrecked, virtually all the other inhabitants of these two regions were slain by the Antarctic cold, which swiftly spread over both the Savage Land and Pangea.

Ka-Zar, Shanna, and their saber-toothed tiger companion, Zabu, all survived the disaster and found temporary refuge in the outside world.

A considerable number of the sentient inhabitants of the Savage Land and Pangea, including Zaladane and the other Savage Land Mutates, escaped the disaster by seeing through a dimensional warp into an other dimensional world. The sentient beings who thus escaped returned to the Savage Land at the time that the god-like High Evolutionary set about his preparations to restore it to its previous state. The anonymous human being who was transformed into the living image of Garokk voluntarily sacrificed his life energies to power the devices that the High Evolutionary used to return the Savage Land to its tropical state. (Whether or not Garokk is indeed dead is as yet unrevealed.) Apparently, the High Evolutionary has returned the Savage Land's climate control machinery to working order and has reactivated the surrounding volcanoes; he has also repopulated the Savage Land with its animal and plant life from different ages, possibly through cloning previously obtained cell samples. Ka-Zar and Shanna have returned to the Savage Land to live there, bringing with them Zabu and their new child. As far as if yet known, however, the High Evolutionary restored only the Savage Land. Pangea's fate remains unrevealed.[/img]

I just read this. I pretty much hated Disassembled, but this book is really awesome. I really did not expect this title to feel like The Avengers, and I was open to that, but it really does have that feel to me now. The humor is just great, I can't remember when there was humor this good in Avengers. This looks like it could be one of the great Avengers runs of all time, but it'lll be several years before I can really make that determination.

Disassembled didn't wow me, and neither did the first three issues of New. I was actually going to drop it after this issue. But then everything turned around. This was what I was waiting for since I heard Bendis was going to do Avengers. I still have a few problems here and there, but over all it just clicks with me. Now it deserves the hype it has been getting.

Issue 4 was a turning point. The book seems much better now. Time for some follow through....

for me disassembled was mediocre, new avengers 1 and 2 were merely ok, 3 was pretty good, and 4 was awesome.

Hopefully from this point on it will keep getting better and better.

never liked Avengers at all before, and wasn't planning on even giving New Avengers a chance, but i caved in and believed the hype. now i fucking love it. i fully support all the decisions that Bendis, Quesada and Marvel made on what they did to the Avengers.

Didn't even think of that. That shit is just stupid. Even the Ultimate line didn't screw THAT up.
