I have to tell this with the phonetic spelling so you know what we heard-


We have a new truck (used, but new to us) to replace the car that got wiped out. We just got the new plates, but the old tags were still in the window.

My son asked if he could take the "fo" (faux) plates off.

We were impressed- "wow, where did you learn that word from?"

He says "What, "fo"? Its short for "phoney" right?"

anyway, it had us cracking up.

how old is he? my son, nick, will be 2 in june and is talking like crazy and has an incredible vocabulary for a 2-year old. it's amazing some of the things a little kid will say. it's like "where the hell did he learn that?"

"...oh, we have cable."

My son, Luke is three and we have just discovered the "stop-swearing-because-he-copies-you-phase".

My wife, until very recently, would say things jokingly like, mommy needs a berr" uintil my mother was over and Luke asked her if she needs a beer.

All cussing and odd sayings have been discontinued in the Satterlee house.
