"If Terry Gilliam and Tim Burton had a love child, it would be the world of Fiction Clemens. The comic is a full meal, every page will fill your eyes and mind like few comics can." --MICHAEL OEMING

The release of "Fiction Clemens" issue 1 is just around the corner (hits the shelves in May), so I thought I'd post here and perk up some ears.

Fiction Clemens is a 3-part mini series from Ape Entertainment. It is the story of a low-talking toothpick rancher who gets caught up in a cosmic conspiracy to drag the Old West into the Space Age.

The book is... well, bizarre. And if you're looking for something different, this is the story for you.

NEWSARAMA writes of issue 1:
"A futuristic western meets Alice in Wonderland or perhaps OZ, and that really doesn't do the overall insanity of the book justice...There's nothing quite like Fiction Clemens on the market."

But the truth is, they ain't seen nothin' yet...

ignore any posts bitching at you for coming in and pimping your work in your 4th post.

This looks pretty cool. Got any interior pages to show us?

This title looks to be right up my alley from what I've already read about it. I'll be all over it.

Take it from me folks, I've held a copy of this in my hands and it's a great book. I'll be glad when I can finally own a copy. Josh is a writer to watch out for, and Joiton's art is phenomenal.

Why do you say "SPAM?" A commenter asked me if there were sample images from the interior:

Or, was I supposed to just answer "yes"?

I don't usually post, but I wanted to let you know that despite any snarky comments you might receive, I'm glad you posted this. The book looks zany and fun, and the art has a very unique style. I'll be buying it. So that's one purchase that wouldn't have happened without you coming here. Everyone wins.

Fictions Clemens is fully Beranek approved. I wish we could have travelled the road to the end, my friend, but I think you ended up in the right place... and so did I.

My elation for you knows no bounds. See you in New York next week!

Just ignore it. Knowing Blandy, he's probably just joking because a lot of people jump up the asses of new people on this board who come to peddle their books, but to the ones who are serious, I say "Go fuck yourselves."

Buy Fiction Clemens instead of watching the next group of knuckleheads screw with Spider-Man.

Things tend to change for the best so long as we can to adapt to the change. And I think both of us have done well. When all's said and done, our friendship emerged from the story, and that's enough to make it all worthwhile!

Your support has meant, and continues to mean, a great deal to the whole Fic crew.

James, every now and then I still wonder what things might be like if Fic ever rode out near Dillinger and met up with Death. Thanks for stopping by! One of these days we'll bump into each other at a con.

Gunter and Kingsumo, thanks for the welcome. Other than the potentially life-scarring "Naked Bendis", this board and its members seem extra-fantastic!

the art is fantastic. Reminds a lot of some of my favorite video games and cartoons.

I think the lettering could be a little better though.

All the best for the book dude! :thumb: It looks pretty cool.

(it took me so long to click the thread, because I thought it was going to be about Roger Clemens testimony in Washington on the steroid thing... )

Heh... yeah, I hear you on the lettering. I was too in debt with the artwork to hire a pro, so I did it myself. It was my very first work lettering, thus the rough edges. I certainly can't hold a candle up to those artists, and my main thought was always, "just don't detract from the art!" :) Hopefully I managed that much.

Ha! Damn Roger Clemens, anyway. The title should make people think of Samuel Clemens, but now that steroid fiasco's floating around in everyone's consciousness ;)

Thanks for the welcome! It's great to be here.
