That is one hell of a creative team. Love it, and with Carey at the helm, it feels like it has the potential to actually be relevant to the ongoing X-Men mythos.

Damn, that really IS an amazing team. I hate these superfluous event tie-ins, but I'll have to actually consider reading this one.

That's a pretty great team, but looks like I'll probably have to trade wait this.

Damn, all the SI tie-ins are looking sexy, and an X-MEN book by Carey and Nord is an automatic win for me.

This is actually the only non-Avengers SI tie-in I'm interested in at all.

That's smart--I heard it's essential.

some mutants like Iceman and Cannonball who aren't on any team roster but [will be] at ground zero when this crisis [hits].
Carey writing Iceman and Cannonball once more? Joyyy.

Yes!!

I hope we do get an Iceman/Cannonball buddy book since they're not on any team.

That is a great creative team. So psyched Nord is doing more Marvel stuff.

Yeah, I'm bummed that they don't have a home in a book right now. A big fan of their friendship and the two characters in general.

I was under the impression that Fraction and Brubaker said Uncanny would have a rotating cast.

Oh, they do, and I'm sure either of them will pop up. But from what I understand, it's more of a rotating cast with a core main cast--Cyclops, Emma, Wolverine, Collosus, Nightcrawler, and Pixie (I think that's the whole main).

I hope Angel pops in too, since they're using him now.

Same here. If I remember, The X-Men team will be huge with a Cyclops picking teams based on individual mission rather than a set stable of people that work together.

Looking forward to Sunspots return and the inevitable fight over who is Sam best friend, him or Iceman.

Brubaker has professed a love for the character, so I think that's guaranteed.

ugh, I hope Beast isn't stuck in Ellis' Astonishing, he's my favorite X-Man and I'm not really an Ellis fan.

I'm sure he'll be around in the other books, too. It's Beast! That's how it was during Whedon's Astonishing, at least.

Don't worry.

IGN Comics: The way the X-books have been set up lately is that each book follows a different subsection of the team and most of the characters don't cross over or inhabit multiple books. You're saying Uncanny is going to focus on the entire lineup of the X-Men?

Fraction: Right. I mean, your core group of guys will always be there Cyclops, Emma, Wolverine, Beast, Nightcrawler, Colossus but the tertiary characters will rotate in and out of the book. Pixie is going to be a big character. She's going to be our Kitty Pryde or Jubilee character for this story. She'll be popping up a lot. Karma makes an appearance in issue #501, but she's not going to necessarily be a regular team member. It's organically structured in the way that we can focus on the whole X-Men family, you know what I mean?
My worry is more that with all the Mutants available, we'll have two books with the same main cast.

THe main cast for Uncanny seem uncannily similiar to the team in Astonishing.
