I'm the guy doing Mephisto for Randy.
For my day job, I sculpt coins for the US Mint.
BD rocks, period!

I'm a HUGE Buscema fan so the Mephisto is a trip. I grew up with How to Draw Comics the Marvel way...besides Kirby and Adams, he was the other big gun as far as I was concerned. For years, all I did was monuments and gallery work so coming back to comic based stuff fits like a glove. Incredible group of sculptors working for Randy past and present and I'm stoked to be able to participate.

I love Buscema's work too. Althuogh Mephisto is not a 'must have' character for me, your pose looks spot on and the prelim work looks fantastic. I might have to buy it on its own merits...

Buscema was beyond legend....was also obsessed with Jim Aparo, Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez, Sal Buscema, Gil Kane, Carmine Infantino, Jim Starlin...and later Marshal Rogers, Walt Simonson, John Byrne, etc....all the old school saints...who coincidentally would all translate into great sculpts.
I wound up studying classical art for almost a decade and all that stuff but these guys were the underpinnings of everything for me.
