View Full Version : What's the deal with Marvel's height and base restrictions?

It seems silly, especially since Bowen has always been really good about keeping everything in scale; the one exclusion in my opinion is the Black Bolt mini bust, but that's because he went down further than the previous busts before it.
Also, the new LUKE CAGE statue, it's base doesn't seem as high as Iron Fist's, which I think should be the same height because I'd like to put these two characters together.

I think Luke towers Iron Fist in a pic I seen recently. Both were on the same size base in the pic, but I think with Iron Fist's original base they are the same size. Maybe.

Iron Fist has two bases. The ornate, golden dragon one and then a black oval, similar to Luke's, except that the top isn't textured. Display them with those bases and they'll be fine.

When Luke comes out, Danny is going to be moving off of his beautiful dragon carved base and onto his plain black base to mach the Power Man statue. Kind of a shame because that dragon base is so nice, but that back to back pose is too good to pass up!

Yeah, I hate not using the dragon base, completely forgot about the regular base that came with it. DUH!

The only one that I really think is out of scale is the Punisher FS that Ray did... He is so much smaller than all the rest of the FS IMO...

So is the GR and the Green Goblin.

Hard Hero recently lost or quit their Marvel Licenses.Marvel apparently wanted them to make something different than the scale they had done. I wonder if that scale is now available for others to pick up or if Marvel feels there is no point in having the same characters done in a slightly larger scale?
I wonder if this allows Bowen more leeway on their height requirements?

Instead of changing Iron Fist's dragon base, try using a riser for the Luke Cage FS.
Just a suggestion, it might not look so bad :mistrust:

So it is now fact that they lost it?

I doubt that Marvel will give leeway to Bowen to change height, heck they just barley gave them a license. Clearly the inmates are running Marvel and have been doing so for a long time. Damn shame.

I bet PM comes with two bases, one which will match up with the ornate IF base. I hope. Better yet it should come with one massive base which has positions for both characters to fit into. Make it so.
